New Jersey Lottery Festival of Ballooning returns

Hot air balloons have been set to fill the sky as the annual New Jersey Lottery Festival of Ballooning kicked off this weekend. Nearly 100 different kinds of balloons started to rise on Saturday in the nation’s largest summertime hot air balloon and music festival.
This includes a 110 foot tall panda and a giant colorful unicorn. The popular event was cancelled last year, but attracted more than 150,000 people in 2019.

Organizer have expressed much excitement for the event to return.
“It’s hard to put in words. You know, just speaking to the pilots who are so happy to be able to put on a show for everybody this weekend,” expressed Howard Freeman, Executive Producer of Lottery Festival of Ballooning. “…Seeing how excited people are to get outside again in a safe and wholesome family environment, it’s awesome.”
The three day festival will also include games, food, fireworks and even live concerts from bands including Styx and Bare Naked Ladies.
