Netanyahu slams CBS host for spreading anti-Israel propaganda: US would do much more than Israel in 10/7 response
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Slams CBS News Host for Promoting Anti-Israel Propaganda
In a fiery interview, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took aim at CBS News host Margaret Brennan for promoting propaganda from anti-Israel organizations. Netanyahu’s frustration arose after Brennan highlighted criticisms from President Joe Biden and leftist NGOs like Doctors Without Borders and Save the Children, both known for their anti-Israel bias.
Netanyahu passionately defended Israel’s military operation against Hamas terrorists, who have been responsible for the deaths of over 1,200 Israelis, the injury of more than 5,300 individuals, and the kidnapping and rape of countless women and children during a horrific terrorist attack on October 7.
A Cynical Enemy
“I think that any civilian casualty is a tragedy and I don’t say that half-heartedly,” Netanyahu expressed. “I lost a brother in war, I myself was wounded while releasing hostages from a hijacked plane. I’ve lost friends in battle. I know what it means to lose friends and what it means to lose family members. But this war has been forced upon us by a cynical enemy that not only targets our civilians but has raped, beheaded, and burnt babies alive. They have killed children in front of their parents and parents in front of their children. This enemy not only targets civilians but hides behind Palestinian civilians, committing a double war crime.”
Netanyahu emphasized that top U.S. military strategists recognize the immense challenge Israel faces in dismantling a large terrorist group that uses innocent civilians as shields.
A Call for Support
Netanyahu drew a powerful comparison, stating that if the U.S. experienced the equivalent of 20 9/11 attacks, with 50,000 Americans slaughtered in one day and another 10,000 held hostage, the response would be far more aggressive than what Israel is currently doing in Gaza.
“And all Americans that I talk to, nearly all, say that,” he added. “So Israel has gone to extraordinary lengths, calling up people, civilians, Palestinians in Gaza, telling them to leave their homes. We have made efforts to protect them. Hamas, on the other hand, tries to keep them at gunpoint. We will clear them out of harm’s way, complete the job, and achieve total victory. This is necessary to secure a better future for Israel, Gaza, the Middle East, and to weaken the Iran terror axis. It’s in America’s interest too.”

What are the constant threats to the safety and security of the Israeli people that Netanyahu mentioned in his interview?
Ry of thousands more, and the constant threat to the safety and security of the Israeli people. He accused Brennan of giving a platform to those who sympathize with the terrorists and undermine Israeli self-defense efforts.
Netanyahu emphasized that Israel has the right to protect its citizens from constant rocket attacks and tunnel infiltrations orchestrated by Hamas. He stressed that Israel’s actions are in line with international law and standards of proportionality. He reminded Brennan of the devastating impact of Hamas’ actions on innocent Israelis and Palestinians, and the need for strong defense measures to ensure the safety of both populations.
The Israeli Prime Minister condemned the biased reporting that is prevalent in the media, especially when it comes to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He emphasized the importance of presenting accurate and balanced information to the public and called on journalists to challenge their own biases and preconceived notions before reporting on such sensitive matters.
Netanyahu also questioned the intentions behind Brennan’s choice of sources, suggesting that she may have been influenced by her own ideological leanings or a lack of understanding of the complex situation on the ground. He urged journalists to approach their work with objectivity and seek a deeper understanding of the realities faced by Israel in its ongoing battle against terrorism.
The interview sparked widespread debate on social media, with supporters of Israel applauding Netanyahu’s forceful defense of his country and critics accusing him of attempting to silence opposition voices. However, Netanyahu’s argument resonates with those who believe in the right of nations to protect their citizens and question the biased narrative often presented by mainstream media outlets.
This is not the first time Netanyahu has criticized the media for promoting anti-Israel sentiment. He has consistently called out biased reporting and urged journalists to uphold their professional responsibilities of fairness and accuracy in covering the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. His bold stance has earned him both praise and criticism, but it also serves as a reminder of the importance of responsible journalism in an era of media bias and misinformation.
As the Israeli-Palestinian conflict continues to be a deeply divisive issue, it is crucial for journalists and news organizations to approach their coverage with objectivity and respect for the facts. Netanyahu’s criticism of Brennan’s interview with CBS News serves as a wake-up call for journalists to strive for a higher standard of reporting and to avoid falling into the trap of promoting biased and misleading narratives that only serve to deepen the divide and hinder the prospects of peace for both Israelis and Palestinians.
