Nathan Wade’s testimony worsens Fani Willis’ image
A Thursday Morning Hearing Casts Doubt on Fulton County DA’s Case Against Trump
A Thursday morning hearing revealed that Fulton County DA Fani Willis’ case against former President Donald Trump may be in serious jeopardy. The testimony of her special prosecutor, Nathan Wade, with whom Willis has been romantically linked, only seemed to worsen the situation.
The first bombshell came from a former employee of the Fulton County DA’s office, who is also a longtime friend of Willis. Under oath, she stated that Willis and Wade had been in a romantic relationship since 2019. This contradicted the sworn statements of both Willis and Wade, who claimed their relationship began in 2022.
This revelation alone was enough for MSNBC legal analyst Caroline Polisi to declare that Willis’ case against Trump would be effectively “dead.”

This completely contradicts the filings of Wade and Willis in which they claimed it began in 2022.

“Don’t let the legalese fool you. This is epic. This is monumental. If things are going in the direction we think, Fani Willis lied to the court, it’s game over for her,” said Polisi. “She will be disqualified. If they had a relationship prior to when they represented truth to the court, it’s a huge deal. I can’t overstate.”
However, when Wade took the stand, it became clear that his testimony would do little, if anything, to salvage Willis’ reputation before the court.
When asked about a cabin in Tennessee where he and Willis were alleged to have stayed, Wade simply replied, “I book lots of cabins.” He then explained that they traveled to Tennessee from Atlanta just to have lunch, fearing that Willis might be recognized.

Wade also claimed that Willis paid her own way when they traveled, but he could only provide receipts showing that he paid with his business credit card. When she reimbursed him, it was often done in cash.

During another exchange, Wade, who had previously denied engaging in sexual relations outside his recent marriage, admitted to sleeping with Willis.

If Thursday’s hearing does not go in Willis’ favor and she is disqualified from prosecuting the Trump case, Polisi explained the repercussions. “Willis will be disqualified, which means her entire office is disqualified, which means the case will have to be re-assigned and languish with the PAC of Georgia, effectively killing the case. Her credibility is completely shot.”
What implications does the fact that the heir and Willis often exchanged cash instead of using traceable payment methods have on the lack of proof regarding who reimbursed who and how?
Heir travels, including a cabin in TN, but can only provide credit card receipts that show he paid, and when he was paid back by Willis, it was often in cash. No proof of who reimbursed who in what way. #𝗙𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗻𝘀

With the contradictory statements regarding the nature and timeline of their relationship, coupled with the lack of evidence to support their claims, the credibility of both Willis and Wade has been seriously called into question.
Legal experts have weighed in on the significance of this hearing and its potential impact on Willis’ case against Trump. Harvard Law School professor Alan Dershowitz stated, ”These revelations have the potential to derail the entire prosecution. It raises serious doubts about the credibility and integrity of the prosecutors involved. If they misled the court about their relationship, it undermines the foundation of their case.”
Furthermore, political commentator and attorney Jonathan Turley argued that the revelations from the hearing could result in serious consequences for Willis. “If it is proven that Fani Willis and Nathan Wade were indeed in a romantic relationship prior to their involvement in this case, it could be grounds for disqualification as prosecutors. It may also open up the possibility of a mistrial or dismissal of the charges against Trump,” said Turley.
As the hearing concluded, it was clear that the prosecution’s case against Trump had suffered a major blow. The doubts surrounding the credibility and integrity of the prosecutors involved, as well as the lack of evidence to support their claims, cast serious doubt on the viability of the case. Legal experts and political commentators alike have recognized the potential ramifications of these revelations. It remains to be seen how this will impact the future proceedings and the overall outcome of the case against Donald Trump.
