New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) hinted at more policies to be put in place to combat the coronavirus. On Monday, Cuomo announced the Metropolitan Transportation Authority would mandate vaccines for all its workers starting on Labor Day.

Cuomo also suggested a possible “vaccination policy” if local governments didn’t follow CDC guidance.

“Everybody is talking about a mask policy. Mask policy will be important, but I don’t think a mask policy is going to be enough,” he stated. “I think we’re going to have to talk about a vaccination policy.”

The governor went on to describe the so-called policy as a blanket requirement for New Yorkers, such as teachers and health care workers.
