New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu has announced his support for Donald Trump as the GOP nominee.
During an interview with CNN on Wednesday, Governor Sununu (R-N.H.), who had previously endorsed Nikki Haley (R-S.C.), expressed his willingness to vote for Trump even if he faces indictments.
The governor emphasized that the current state of the country under President Biden’s leadership has been so disappointing that most Americans are eager for change and are rallying behind Trump.
Sununu cited multiple polls where Trump is leading among presidential candidates.
In a Tipp Insights poll released on Thursday, it was revealed that Trump has garnered 41% support in the general election, surpassing Biden’s 40%.

What are the reasons behind Governor Sununu’s decision to endorse Donald Trump as the GOP nominee?
Governor Chris Sununu’s decision to endorse Donald Trump as the GOP nominee can be attributed to several reasons:
1. Party loyalty: As a Republican Governor, Sununu may feel obligated to support the nominee of his party. Party loyalty is a significant factor for politicians, and endorsing the party’s nominee is seen as a way to maintain unity and support within the Republican Party.
2. Shared policy views: Sununu and Trump may align on certain policy issues. For instance, both have advocated for lower taxes and deregulation. Sununu might see Trump as someone who can advance his preferred policies and agenda.
3. Economic considerations: Sununu, like many other politicians, may believe that Trump’s policies would be beneficial for the economy. Trump’s promises of increasing jobs and stimulating economic growth may appeal to Sununu, especially if he views them as advantageous for his state’s economy.
4. Political calculations: Sununu may have assessed that endorsing Trump could be politically advantageous for him. He might believe that support for the party’s nominee would increase his popularity among Republican voters, who make up a significant portion of the electorate.
5. Personal relationships: Sununu and Trump might have developed a positive rapport and personal relationship over time. In politics, personal connections can play a role in decision-making and endorsements.
These reasons are speculative and would require insight from Sununu himself to completely understand his decision-making process.
