Musk’s medical tests reveal possible surgery before Zuckerberg bout.
Elon Musk Teases Potential Surgery Before Showdown with Mark Zuckerberg
In a thrilling turn of events, X owner Elon Musk has hinted at the possibility of undergoing surgery before his highly anticipated fight against Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg.
Musk, the 52-year-old CEO of Tesla, took to X to reveal that he is scheduled to undergo an MRI of his neck and upper back.
The excitement escalated when Zuckerberg, 39, shared a screenshot on Threads, a platform built to rival X, of a post from Musk boasting about his intense weightlifting routine. Musk’s post read, “Am lifting weights throughout the day, preparing for the fight. Don’t have time to work out, so I just bring them to work.”
Zuckerberg fired back, stating, “I’m ready today. I suggested August 26 when he first challenged, but he hasn’t confirmed. Not holding my breath.”
Responding to Zuckerberg’s comment, Musk later updated his followers on X, saying, “Exact date is still in flux. I’m getting an MRI of my neck & upper back tomorrow. May require surgery before the fight can happen. Will know this week.”
He added, with a touch of intrigue, “Nobody lives forever.”
The buzz surrounding this epic showdown began earlier this summer when Musk responded to news of Zuckerberg’s release of Threads with a bold statement, “I’m up for a cage match if he is lol.”
Zuckerberg, not one to back down, replied, “Send me location.”
The anticipation for the fight has only grown, with Musk recently announcing, “Zuck v Musk fight will be live-streamed on 𝕏. All proceeds will go to charity for veterans.”
Zuckerberg, however, questioned the choice of platform, commenting on Instagram, “Shouldn’t we use a more reliable platform that can actually raise money for charity?”
According to The Wall Street Journal, Musk has previously revealed that he suffers from “quite severe back pain” and mentioned the possibility of an operation to strengthen the titanium plate holding his C5/C6 vertebrae together.
