Multiple documents in Epstein files disappear as release continues

The Department of Justice (DOJ) recently released files related to Jeffrey Epstein, but multiple documents have as disappeared from the public “epstein Library.” At least 16 files were removed, including images such as paintings of nude women and a photograph featuring President Donald Trump with Epstein, Melania Trump, and Ghislaine Maxwell. This removal has sparked criticism from House Oversight Committee Democrats, who are investigating potential cover-ups and demanding full transparency. Even though the DOJ missed a deadline for a complete release, it has continued to issue additional files containing grand jury materials from Epstein investigations in Florida and New York, albeit heavily redacted and revealing little new information.

Multiple documents in Epstein files disappear as release continues

Numerous files related to disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein that the Department of Justice released on Friday have since disappeared, according to multiple reports.

The Associated Press reported at least 16 files were removed from the DOJ’s “Epstein Library,” where they are publicly viewable. Those scrubbed included images of paintings depicting nude women, as well as an image of a drawer that had a picture inside it of President Donald Trump with Epstein, Melania Trump, and longtime Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell.

The apparent deletion was met with criticism from Democrats on the House Oversight Committee, who are already exploring “all legal options” after the Trump administration did not release all of the files on Friday.

On Saturday, the Oversight Democrats X account reposted one of the removed photos and accused the administration of a “cover-up.”

While the Trump administration ultimately did not meet the Friday deadline for a full release of the files, the DOJ has continued to release them over the weekend.

Those new files included grand jury materials from the investigations into Epstein in Florida and New York, though reportedly revealed little new information and were full of redactions.
