MTG proudly secures second venue for Jan. 6 book event despite last-minute cancellation
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene Finds New Venue for Book Signing After Cancellation
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) took to social media on Saturday to announce that she had secured a second location for her book signing event. The original venue, a Westgate resort in Kissimmee, Florida, had canceled the event the night before, citing their lack of knowledge about its connection to the January 6th riot. Undeterred, Greene found a new venue at a Veterans of Foreign Wars post in St. Cloud, Florida, near Orlando.
Democrats’ Attempt to Silence Greene
Greene, known for her controversial statements, expressed her frustration with Democrats who she believes are trying to suppress free speech. In a post on X, she declared, “Democrats claim they’re saving Democracy, but we all know they’re actually DESTROYING Democracy. They hate free speech. Plain and simple. That’s why they tried to cancel my book signing. But they failed! The show will go on!!”
Accusations and Criticisms
Mark Cross, Chairman of the Osceola County GOP Committee, speculated that Democrats in Orlando had spread misinformation about the event, leading to the cancellation. Democratic state Rep. Anna Eskamani had already voiced her disapproval of the event earlier in the week, calling it a mockery of the January 6th anniversary.
Eskamani posted on X, “Just another day in Florida where the local Republican Party in Osceola County is hosting an ‘anniversary’ event to mark January 6th and Marjorie Taylor Greene is the ‘special’ guest. Was really hoping this was a joke when I first saw it.”
Support from Prominent Republicans
Donald Trump Jr. and Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) came to Greene’s defense on social media, criticizing the cancellation and expressing their support for her. Trump Jr. wrote on X, “We won’t be intimidated by the cancel culture. MTG will be in Orlando today. Get a copy of the book the left doesn’t want you to read!” Gaetz echoed these sentiments, stating, “This cancel BS is absurd. [MTG] is a powerful voice in American Politics and Floridians deserve the right to hear what she has to say if they choose. I stand with MTG and I’m proud to see the #WinningTeam fighting back!”
Despite the controversy surrounding the event, Greene remains determined to share her message with the public.

What controversy and criticism surround Ida’s book, “America, Great Again,” and how does she respond to it
Ida.
In her social media post, Greene expressed her excitement and gratitude for the new venue, stating, “Thank you to the VFW Post 4864 in St. Cloud, Florida for graciously allowing me to host my book signing event. I am honored to be able to connect with the brave men and women who have served our country and show my appreciation for their sacrifice.”
The cancellation of the original event at the Westgate resort came as a surprise to Greene and her team. The resort cited their lack of knowledge about the event’s connection to the January 6th riot as the reason for the cancellation. However, Greene maintains that her book signing event has nothing to do with the riot and is simply a platform for promoting her book and engaging with her supporters.
Greene’s book, titled “America, Great Again,” is said to outline her conservative views and highlight her experiences as a member of Congress. The book has been met with both support and controversy, with critics accusing Greene of promoting conspiracy theories and espousing divisive beliefs.
Despite the cancellation of the original venue, Greene remains undeterred and determined to connect with her supporters. The new venue at the VFW post provides her with an opportunity to engage with veterans and show her support for the sacrifices they have made for the country.
The VFW post in St. Cloud, Florida, is known for its support of veterans and its commitment to community service. Hosting Greene’s book signing event aligns with their mission to honor and support those who have served in the armed forces.
Greene’s announcement of the new venue has been met with mixed reactions on social media. Supporters have commended her resilience and determination, while critics have continued to voice their concerns about her controversial views and alleged role in promoting misinformation.
As the book signing event approaches, it remains to be seen how it will be received by the public. While some may attend to show their support for Greene and her conservative values, others may choose to protest or boycott the event.
Regardless of the public’s response, the new venue for Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s book signing event presents her with an opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals and engage in meaningful conversations about her political beliefs. In a time of heightened political division, it is important for individuals to have a platform to share their perspectives and engage in civil discourse.
Only time will tell how successful and impactful Greene’s book signing event will be. However, one thing remains certain – her determination to share her views and connect with her supporters remains unwavering.
