Mother Of Uvalde Shooter Speaks Out: ‘I’m Very Upset About Everything’
The mother of the 18-year-old identified as the person who shot and killed 19 children and two adults at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas, Tuesday has spoken out about the mass shooting, saying she’s “very upset about everything.”
The mother of the shooter at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde told NBC News Wednesday that she didn’t see the shooting coming after her son moved out of her home two months ago to live with his grandmother, reported the outlet.
“I’m very upset about everything,” the shooter’s mother, 39, told the outlet by phone. “A lot of stuff has happened but right now, I don’t feel good.”
A man who’s been in a relationship with the shooter’s mother for about a year called the shooter a “weird” kid.
“He was kind of a weird one,” he shared. “I never got along with him. I never socialized with him. He doesn’t talk to nobody. When you try to talk to him he’d just sit there and walk away.”
At a Tuesday press conference, authorities said the shooter acted alone.
