Miss Universe Pageant Organizers File for Bankruptcy After Embracing Transgender Contestants
It’s no surprise that viewers aren’t interested in seeing men compete in a women’s pageant. Who could have predicted that?
According to Fox Business, the JKN Global Group recently filed for bankruptcy in Thailand.
JKN is the owner of the Miss Universe pageant, which this year features two transgender contestants from Portugal and the Netherlands.
In 2018, “Miss” Spain became the first transgender contestant in pageant history, but unfortunately did not make it to the finals, likely due to transphobia.
Fortunately, with a new owner, the fear of men pretending to be women will be addressed.
The CEO of JKN Global Group, a transgender activist from Thailand who goes by the name “Anne” Jakrajutatip, purchased the Miss Universe pageant for $20 million in 2022. Now, with multiple transgender contestants, there will be more opportunities for men to parade around in women’s swimwear.
Despite the bankruptcy, the 2023 pageant will proceed as scheduled this Saturday in San Salvador, El Salvador. Viewers in the U.S. can watch it on Roku and Telemundo starting at 8 p.m. EST.
If they tune in, they will likely witness some of the world’s most beautiful women saying absurd things and pretending that two European men can be women.

Indeed, just like the Chinese people during the Cultural Revolution who carried a copy of “Quotations from Chairman Mao Zedong” out of sheer terror, any pageant contestants who disagree with men participating in women’s events will likely keep their objections hidden and go along with the crowd.
Otherwise, they risk facing the same challenges that brave women and girls like Riley Gaines and others have endured.
As for the financial situation of the organization, the exact reason for the bankruptcy has not been reported. However, JKN missed a loan repayment deadline of around $12 million, according to CNN.
Nevertheless, it’s not difficult to guess one of the main reasons for the pageant’s decline. Here’s an example:
“Miss Universe asked us to describe ourselves in one word,” said the current “Miss” Netherlands in a video posted on Instagram. “The word I’m choosing is ‘victory’ because as a little boy I conquered all things that came through my path — and look at me now, standing here as a strong, empowering and confident trans woman.”

It’s worth wondering if the phrase ”as a little boy” raised any eyebrows among “Miss” Netherlands’ followers.
Regardless, many consumers, just like with Bud Light and Target, have decided to no longer support companies that promote woke lies.
For example, the pageant has moved from Fox to Roku and Telemundo. According to Time Magazine, the 2021 pageant on Fox had only 2.7 million viewers, a 56 percent decline from five years ago.
“Transgender” has become synonymous with “woke,” and “bankruptcy” with “broke.” By embracing the former, the Miss Universe pageant has experienced the latter.

What can be said about the Miss Universe pageant’s decision to accommodate transgender activists and promote a progressive agenda?
Sentence, and I chose ‘Beautiful’ because I want to be confident and embrace my beauty,” said Miss Portugal, Ruby Barbosa, who was assigned male at birth but now identifies as female.
It’s clear that the Miss Universe pageant has lost its focus and has strayed from its original purpose of celebrating and showcasing the world’s most beautiful women. Instead, it has become a platform for promoting a progressive agenda and accommodating the demands of transgender activists.
While there is nothing inherently wrong with transgender individuals participating in their own pageants and competitions, it is a disservice to the contestants and the viewers to mix genders in a competition that is meant to celebrate traditional femininity and beauty.
Furthermore, by embracing transgender contestants, the Miss Universe pageant has alienated a significant portion of its audience. Many traditional viewers who appreciated the elegance and grace of the pageant will no longer tune in, as they feel that the competition has deviated from its original values.
The bankruptcy filing by JKN Global Group is a direct consequence of their ill-informed decision to embrace transgender contestants. By catering to a small minority, they have neglected the preferences of their core audience and as a result, have suffered significant financial losses.
It is crucial for organizations to understand the interests and desires of their target audience and make decisions that align with their values. The Miss Universe pageant’s failure to do so has resulted in the loss of viewers and ultimately, their financial downfall.
However, this bankruptcy filing should serve as a wake-up call to other organizations that are considering similar decisions. It is essential to carefully assess the potential impact on viewership and financial stability before making such changes.
In conclusion, the Miss Universe pageant organizers’ decision to embrace transgender contestants has proven to be a costly mistake. By prioritizing an agenda over the preferences of their audience, they have driven themselves to bankruptcy. This serves as a lesson for other organizations to prioritize their core values and the desires of their target audience in order to ensure long-term success.
