Meta Global Affairs President Says They Censored Hunter Biden Story So Fact-Checkers Could “Look Into It If They Wanted To”

Meta President for Global Affairs Nick Clegg acknowledged that Facebook had censored his post Hunter Biden Laptop story for fact-checkers “look at the story if they wanted to. They didn’t.”

During a broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Special Report” on Wednesday, Host Bret Baier asked, “[A]s far as stories, the Hunter Biden laptop story, the story of the COVID origins, did Facebook manipulate those or censor those as they were coming out?”

Clegg replied, “So, on the Hunter Biden story, other platforms, I think it was Twitter, sort of just deleted the story altogether.”

“We didn’t. You could still find the story. Millions of people did,” Clegg also added.

“But for seven days the prominence of the story was less for those seven days,” He stated.

“It’s just part of the way our systems work to allow our fact-checkers, we have a network of independent fact-checkers to look at the story if they wanted to. They didn’t,” Clegg admitted.

“And after seven days, that — what’s called in the jargon — that temporary demotion was taken off. So, we didn’t remove it,” He stated.

“People could find it. Many people saw it on Facebook. We were simply following the rules by which our systems currently operate.”

But Clegg’s claims that Facebook censored the Hunter Biden story because of “fact checkers” This is contrary to what Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said to Joe Rogen last august.

As The Daily Fetched Rogen was informed that Zuckerberg had told Rogen that the FBI approached Facebook over Zuckerberg’s comments. “Russian propaganda” A few minutes before the NY Post broke The explosive Hunter Biden laptop story.

“Basically, the background here is the FBI, I think, basically came to us- some folks on our team and was like, ‘Hey, just so you know, like, you should be on high alert. We thought that there was a lot of Russian propaganda in the 2016 election,” Rogan was told by Zuckerberg.

“We have it on notice that, basically, there’s about to be some kind of dump of that’s similar to that. So just be vigilant,” META CEO has been added.

After months of ridicule from establishment media and censorship of social media platforms, the story finally came out.

Zuckerberg seemed to be sorry for suppressing the news.

“Yeah, yeah. I mean, it sucks,” Zuckerberg made the comment before defending his platform for allowing others, not unlike Twitter, to share the NY Post article.
