First Lady Melania Trump on Friday announced the release date of her documentary, along with the launch of her own production company backing it.

“PRESENTING: MUSE FILMS My new production company. MELANIA, the film, exclusively in theaters worldwide on January 30th, 2026,” Trump wrote on X.

The film is set to give an “unprecedented, behind-the-scenes look” at Trump’s life, according to an Amazon statement.

Trump, 55, was born in Slovenia. While she is the only first lady to be a naturalized citizen, she is the second first lady to be born outside of the United States, after Louisa Catherine Johnson Adams, the wife of John Quincy Adams.

Trump’s career was in the fashion industry as a model across Europe and the United States. This experience helped her learn English, Italian, French, and German in addition to her native Slovenian.

The documentary is being executive produced by Trump and Fernando Sulichin while being directed by Brett Ratner, who has faced sexual harassment accusations but denied them. Ratner’s latest credit was as a producer of Georgetown, a political drama set in Washington, D.C.

Trump has not shied away from her own business ventures since her first term as first lady. Last October, she released her memoir, Melania, which included personal stories and family photos. This book also set out to dispute the allegations that Trump met her husband, now President Donald Trump, after being introduced by late convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.

The first lady has succeeded in beating back these allegations. HarperCollinsUK removed passages in Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York that included the accusations. This followed the Daily Beast and Democratic commentator James Carville in issuing apologies for repeating the claim that Epstein was tied to the Trumps’ meeting.

According to Nick Clemens, communications director for the first lady, her attorneys are still pursuing apologies.

“First Lady Melania Trump’s attorneys are actively ensuring immediate retractions and apologies by those who spread malicious, defamatory falsehoods,” Clemens said in a statement to the Washington Examiner. “The true account of how the First Lady met President Trump is in her best-selling book, Melania.”

The Washington Examiner has asked Clemens for comment.
