Megan Fox shares miscarriage pain in poetry book.
Megan Fox Opens Up About Miscarriage in New Poetry Book
In her latest poetry book, “Pretty Boys Are Poisonous,” actress Megan Fox reveals her heartbreaking experience of suffering a miscarriage.
The 37-year-old star recently appeared on “Good Morning America” to discuss her collection of 70 poems, which delve into her real-life experiences, including the loss of a child while dating rapper Machine Gun Kelly (Colson Baker).
During the interview, Fox expressed the profound impact of this tragedy on her life. ”I’ve never been through anything like that before,” she shared. “I have three kids, so it was very difficult for both of us, and it sent us on a very wild journey together. And separately and together and apart and together and apart… trying to navigate what does this mean and why did this happen.”
Emphasizing the authenticity of her book, Fox stated that none of the content is fictional. She also explained her motivation for writing it, saying, “It’s not an exposé or a memoir… But throughout my life, I have been in at least one physically abusive relationship and several psychologically very abusive relationships.”

Reflecting on her personal journey, Fox shared, “I just think it was something inside of me that had to come out because it was gonna make me sick.”
One of the poems in the book describes a physically abusive relationship without explicitly naming the person involved. Fox revealed, “I’ve only been publicly connected to a few people that I shared energy with, who were horrific people and also very famous people. But no one knows that I was involved with those people.”
She also admitted that there were certain writings she chose not to include in the book, considering them too personal for public consumption. “I wrote a lot of things that didn’t make it because I was like, ‘This is maybe for God’s eyes only,'” she confessed. “Some of it is too much when you’re a known person. If I had the freedom of just being a poet, and people not really wanting to dig too much into my personal life, I would have included more entries like that.”
Despite the intense emotions conveyed in her poetry, Fox clarified that her book is not intended as an exposé. Instead, she hopes it serves as a message of solidarity to other women, reminding them that there is a place where their pain can find solace.
In January 2022, Fox announced her engagement to Machine Gun Kelly. She has three children from her previous marriage to actor Brian Austin Green, while Kelly has a daughter from a previous relationship.
“Pretty Boys Are Poisonous” is now available in bookstores.
According to Fox, how does writing and putting her experiences into words help her heal and find solace?
Relationship and several psychologically very abusive relationships.” 🔒
Fox hopes that her poetry book will inspire and resonate with others who may have gone through similar experiences. “I hope that people can read that and connect with it and feel seen, and it also is a bit of an homage to a lot of other artists who have come before me that have given me strength and made me feel seen,” she said.
The actress also discussed the healing power of writing, stating that putting her experiences into words helped her process her emotions and find solace. “Just the act of getting it out and putting it on paper, I realized that’s how I heal,” she explained. “It’s the process of releasing it and letting it go and accepting it and being like, ‘This is a chapter of my life, but it’s not my whole story.’
This is not the first time that Fox has opened up about her personal struggles. In a candid interview with ”E! News” last year, she spoke about her journey towards self-love and acceptance, despite societal pressure. “I’ve never been someone who was like, ‘I have to be th,ge skinniest, the most beautiful, the specific shade of a certain ethnicity or else,’” she stated. “I’ve never really cared though…. The importance was placed on other things for me, besides just aesthetics.”
It is evident that Fox’s transparency and vulnerability in sharing her experiences can have a profound impact on her audience. By opening up about her miscarriage in her poetry book, she is not only shedding light on a topic that is often kept hidden, but also offering comfort and understanding to those who have experienced similar loss.
“Pretty Boys Are Poisonous” is set to be released on November 9th, and it is clear that Megan Fox’s latest venture will not only showcase her talent as a wordsmith, but also serve as a source of inspiration and healing for many.
As she continues on her journey of self-discovery and growth, Fox’s courage to share her story serves as a reminder that vulnerability can be a powerful tool in overcoming adversity and connecting with others.
