Chris Evans, former Marvel star, talks about leaving behind the stress of Los Angeles.
Chris Evans Leaves California for Massachusetts to Appreciate the Changing Seasons
Former Marvel actor Chris Evans recently revealed that he decided to leave California and return to his home state of Massachusetts in order to experience the beauty of the changing seasons.
In a cover story interview with GQ, the 42-year-old ”Avengers: Endgame” star expressed his feelings about living in Los Angeles, stating that it gave him ”Pavlovian anxiety.” He found solace and peace by going back to his roots.
Evans explained, “Returning to the East Coast takes me back to a time when life was simpler, where my ego and insecurities didn’t dominate my existence. It’s a refreshing change.”
The actor also shared his awe for nature, saying, “The fact that trees are green blows my mind.” He admitted that focusing too much on himself leads to unhappiness and prefers to look beyond his own experiences.
Interestingly, Evans now chooses his projects based on the season. He doesn’t want to miss out on experiencing autumn, for example. He values these moments and wants to make the most of them.
Despite his contentment with leaving Hollywood behind, Evans didn’t completely rule out a return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. He expressed his love for the franchise but emphasized the importance of maintaining its integrity and not simply cashing in on its success.
Evans concluded, “I’ll never say never, but for now, I’m focused on exploring other passions and not occupying too much space in an industry that I’ve already dedicated 20 years to.”
