Mark Zuckerberg gains blue belt in jujitsu, prepping for possible showdown with Elon Musk.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg Earns Blue Belt in Jujitsu
Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, is gearing up for a potential showdown with Elon Musk, the owner of Twitter. In a recent social media post, Zuckerberg proudly announced that he has achieved a blue belt in jujitsu.
This exciting news comes after Zuckerberg shared a video of himself learning the martial art from the renowned “jujitsu legend” Mikey Musumeci. It all started when Zuckerberg and Musk agreed to a cage match challenge last month.
Congratulations to Dave Camarillo on His 5th Degree Black Belt
Zuckerberg took to social media to congratulate Dave Camarillo on his impressive 5th degree black belt. He expressed his gratitude for Camarillo’s coaching and how much he has learned about fighting and life through their training sessions. Zuckerberg also revealed his promotion to compete at the blue belt level for the Guerrilla Jiu-Jitsu San Jose team.
According to Walter Isaacson, Musk’s biographer, the supposed cage fight between Musk and Zuckerberg is merely a metaphor for the ongoing battle between Twitter and Threads, Meta’s alternative to Twitter. Isaacson believes that an actual physical fight between the two men is unlikely. He attributes Musk’s attitude towards Zuckerberg to the South African’s impulsive nature and what he calls “demon mode.”
“He really loves it, and he loves putting out impulsive tweets,” Isaacson explained. “He thrives on the contentiousness of it. You know, his favorite line in a movie is, ‘Are you not entertained?’ That final line from Gladiator, and that’s what distinguishes Twitter, for better or worse, from platforms like Threads.”

The online rivalry between Musk and Zuckerberg coincides with Musk’s rebranding of Twitter to “X.” The billionaire has announced that the platform will bid farewell to the Twitter brand and gradually phase out all bird-related elements, unveiling a new logo for the platform.
Linda Yaccarino, the CEO of Twitter, believes that the rebranding to “X” represents the future state of unlimited interactivity on the social media platform.
