She revealed, “The temperature, which people forget because we didn’t have all of the incredible magic that we now have with filmmaking, was 17 below in the morning, and then it was zero when we were filming. In addition, Blair discussed the difficulty she faced in delivering swear words written in the script for her character. Director Billy Friedkin played a role in rewriting her dialogue, pushing her out of her comfort zone.

She said, “When we were doing the makeup tests and all of that, I would look around at the walls and I would say, ‘This is going to make some people sick.’ Because it was so vile and so spooky because of how real it looked.”
