Leftist Arrested For Trump Threats And Media Barely Covers It

A raging leftist was arrested Saturday in Washington, D.C. and charged with making a series of social media posts threatening to kill President Donald Trump, but the propaganda press has decided to downplay or ignore the threat.

Nathalie “Nath” Rose Jones, 50, of Lafayette, Indiana, threatened to kill, kidnap, or injure Trump in her posts, according to a statement from the Secret Service.

By Tuesday, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, and The New York Times had either not reported the arrest, or hid it on their websites so well that a deep web search came up with nothing.

“I am willing to sacrificially kill this POTUS by disemboweling him and cutting out his trachea with Liz Cheney and all The Affirmation present,” Jones wrote in an August 6 Facebook post directed to the FBI.

That seems like news. If we were still trapped in former President Joe “Autopen” Biden’s administration and the threat was directed at Biden, the propagandists would be all over this story, learning all they could about Jones and warning of “white nationalism” and “domestic extremism.” The DOJ would be weaponized to root out more like her. But the press that so often has ugly things to say about Trump, doesn’t see Jones as extreme, so why would they report about it?

The Secret Service did a voluntary interview with Jones August 15, according to the FBI statement. “During which she stated the President was a ‘terrorist’ and a ‘nazi,’ that if she had the opportunity, she would take the President’s life and would kill him at ‘the compound’ if she had to, that she had a ‘bladed object,’ which she said was the weapon she would use to ‘carry out her mission of killing’ the president, and that she wanted to ‘avenge all the lives lost during the Covid-19 pandemic,’ which she attributed to President Trump’s administration and its position on vaccinations.”

The next day, August 16, Jones was in a protest march that started at Dupont Circle and navigated all the way around the White House. Secret Service interviewed Jones again, after the protest.

“She admitted that she had made threats towards President Trump during her interview the previous day,” the statement said. “She denied having any present desire to harm the President of the United States. Law enforcement arrested her and she confirmed that she was the owner of the Facebook user account “Nath Jones” and that she had posted the threatening statements.”

“Threatening the life of the President is one of the most serious crimes and one that will be met with swift and unwavering prosecution,” U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro said in a statement. “Make no mistake — justice will be served.”

This chilling threat of violent homicide is all the more sobering, recalling that Trump was nearly assassinated twice on the campaign trail while under the Secret Service’s watch.

Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20, shot Trump at a July 13 political rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, grazing Trump’s ear with a bullet, killing a man in the crowd and injuring two others. What was his motivation?

Ryan Wesley Routh, 58, stalked Trump at the Trump International Golf Club in West Palm Beach, Florida, and allegedly pointed a gun through a fence at Trump.

Neither name, Crooks nor Routh, are easily recalled because the press quickly moved on from covering their stories. After all, it was election season and the attempts on Trump’s life made the public admire him more. That’s no way to put a Democrat in the White House.

Jones posted a photo of herself on August 16 wearing a necklace featuring a  photo of someone who appears to be Bob Avakian, the founder of the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA. And she marched in Washington with a group called Refuse Fascism, which aims to prevent Trump from implementing the agenda the American people voted for.

The Washington Post got around to writing about Jones on Tuesday with the downplayed headline “Woman who visited D.C. charged with making death threats against Trump.” They could have gone with something with more detail like “Communist Activist Wanted To Kill, Disembowel President Trump” to show how serious the threat was.

The propagandists that have nothing to say about Jones had no problem dragging Douglass Mackey’s name through the mud in 2021 for two memes he reposted on Twitter in 2016. The memes told Hillary Clinton voters they could simply vote by text message, an obvious joke and certainly not life threatening.

NBC called him a notorious Twitter troll and alt-right figure. The New York Times spilled a lot of ink on numerous stories about Mackey, calling him a right-wing provocateur who engaged in voter suppression, covering his trial. They didn’t question the Department of Justice infringing Mackey’s speech or the harsh penalty (10 years in federal prison) for memes, that hung over his head until just this year when the court vacated his case.

Leftists are treated with kid gloves, if they are mentioned at all, by the same press that body slams the right every chance they get.
