Huge crowd awaits Trump outside Fulton County Jail.
A Show of Support: Trump Supporters Gather Outside Fulton County Jail
A large crowd of Trump supporters eagerly gathered outside the Fulton County, Georgia, jail on Thursday morning, eagerly awaiting the arrival of the former president. The anticipation was high as Trump was expected to arrive at the jail later in the evening for fingerprinting and possibly even a mug shot.
Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis had requested that Trump and 18 other defendants be arraigned in September, according to CNN. In a surprising move, the judge overseeing the case allowed four local news stations to have cameras in the courtroom until September 8, making Trump’s fourth arraignment a media spectacle.
The charges against Trump, which include racketeering, were brought by Willis just last week. Loyal Trump supporters showed up hours before his expected arrival at the jail to voice their frustration with the prosecution of their beloved former president’s chief political opponent.

The show of support for Trump was diverse, with a group calling themselves “Blacks for Trump” proudly holding American flags and signs in support of the former president. When asked about Trump’s indictment, one passionate supporter expressed his frustration, calling it “a bunch of bulls***” and accusing Willis of being “a puppet for the white liberal.”
“I’m here to support Trump because they’ve been doing black men like this for decades,” he passionately stated. “I know Trump is innocent. I support Trump against the two-tier justice system. Fani Willis is full of s***.”

Other supporters arrived in a bus painted red, white, and blue, proudly displaying a picture of Trump on its side. Many people even set up tents alongside the road, eagerly awaiting Trump’s arrival.

Trump was charged in Fulton County alongside 18 other co-defendants, including Rudy Giuliani, John Eastman, Mark Meadows, Jenna Ellis, and Sidney Powell. Giuliani, Eastman, Ellis, and Powell all turned themselves in on Wednesday and were photographed. Giuliani, who had advised Trump during his challenge of the 2020 election outcome, made a statement before leaving for Georgia.
“I’m feeling very, very good about it because I feel like I’m defending the rights of all Americans as I did so many times as a United States attorney,” Giuliani confidently stated. “People like to say I’m different, but I’m the same Rudy Giuliani who took down the Mafia, made New York City the safest city in America, and reduced crime more than any mayor in history. I’m fighting for justice, just as I have from the moment I represented Donald Trump.”

Trump, who skipped the Republican debate on Wednesday night to sit down for an interview with Tucker Carlson, dismissed his pending legal cases as nonsense. He pointed out that even his one-time opponent Hillary Clinton and Democrat Stacey Abrams challenged the outcomes of the elections they lost.
“But now, you know, every time you see [Clinton] on television, she’s saying like, well, she’s challenging the election… So that would mean that she should be indicted, but that would mean also that Stacey Abrams in Georgia should be indicted ’cause she still thinks she won the election for governor,” Trump explained.
