Kid Rock says Comey’s ‘8647’ post was ‘TDS at the highest levels’
Musician Kid Rock criticized former FBI Director James Comey for a recent social media post that suggested “86” President Donald Trump through a cryptic arrangement of seashells spelling out “8647.” Kid Rock expressed confusion about Comey’s message and mocked him on Fox News, suggesting Comey was either intoxicated or suffering from “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” He lauded Trump for his efforts in various areas, including border security and military recruitment, and emphasized teh need too support rather than attack the president. Additionally, Kid Rock took a jab at Bruce Springsteen for his own critique of Trump’s management, calling out the disparity between Springsteen’s working-class image and his financial success. The article also mentions Trump’s response to Comey’s post, interpreting it as a potential call for violence against him.
Kid Rock says Comey’s ‘8647’ post was ‘TDS at the highest levels’
Musician Kid Rock slammed former FBI Director James Comey over his recent social media post and questioned why he would share a message to “86” President Donald Trump when he is “literally saving America.”
Comey’s post, which has since been deleted, showed a collection of seashells organized to spell “8647,” a message that has sparked an investigation from the Department of Homeland Security. Kid Rock, whose real name is Robert James Ritchie, was perplexed by Comey’s follow-up statement about the post, in which the former “head of the FBI” said he did not know “what 86 somebody means.”
“This guy was either drunk, or he’s clearly got [Trump Derangement Syndrome] at the highest levels, cause Trump handed his a** to him,” Kid Rock joked on Fox News’s Jesse Watters Primetime. “I mean, 86? I might send out a drunk tweet, alright? I’m in a rock band, for crying out loud. This guy’s the head of the FBI. Trump had an assassination attempt twice on him, it’s like what is — what is freaking the matter with these people? Our president is literally saving America every hour, every day, working his a** off.”
Kid Rock said it’s “insane” how some people keep “attacking” the president and asked why people can’t give Trump “a little breather.” He then credited Trump for doing “a nice job” in multiple areas, such as securing the southern border and working with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth on improving military recruitments.
Following the first assassination attempt against Trump in Butler County, Pennsylvania, Kid Rock posted a video warning future assassins, “You f*** with Trump, you f*** with me!” The musician also donated $50,000 to a fundraiser to support victims of the shooting.
Kid Rock also slammed Bruce Springsteen for his recent criticism of Trump. At the first show of his “The Land of Hopes & Dreams” tour in Manchester, England, Springsteen said the United States is in the hands of “a corrupt, incompetent, and treasonous administration.” Kid Rock admitted that Springsteen has made “some good songs” but said he also tries to portray himself as a “working-class guy” despite having “mountains of money,” which makes his politics “a**-backward.”
Trump largely dismissed Springsteen’s comments, writing on Truth Social that the musician is “a pushy, obnoxious JERK” who is “highly overrated.” However, Trump took issue with Springsteen’s support for former President Joe Biden. He called his predecessor “a mentally incompetent FOOL.”
Regarding Comey’s post on Instagram, Trump accused the former FBI director of calling for an assassination attempt against him, saying Comey knew “exactly what that meant.” However, the president said Attorney General Pam Bondi would decide whether or not Comey would face consequences for his post.
