Kemp criticizes Biden for Laken Riley’s murder by illegal alien, blames administration’s failures
Georgia Governor Brian Kemp Slams President Biden Over Murder of College Student
Georgia Governor Brian Kemp (R) strongly criticized President Joe Biden in a scathing letter on Saturday, demanding answers regarding the recent murder of a young college student in the state.
Police apprehended 26-year-old illegal alien Jose Antonio Ibarra on Friday for the alleged killing of 22-year-old University of Georgia nursing student Laken Riley. The law enforcement officials stated during a press conference that Ibarra faces charges including “malice murder, felony murder, aggravated battery, aggravated assault, false imprisonment, kidnapping, hindering a 911 call, and concealing the death of another.”
Ibarra, a Venezuelan national, unlawfully entered the United States through Texas in 2022, joining the millions who have crossed the southern border as part of the ongoing illegal immigration crisis that Biden’s policies have exacerbated.

Governor Kemp directly addressed President Biden, stating, “As I have stated many times in the past, your actions and those of your administration have resulted in every state in the country experiencing the disastrous impacts of an unsecured U.S. southern border. Since you took office, more than nine million illegal immigrants have crossed the border, with an unknown number of migrants who were not detained and processed. Additionally, at least 58 individuals on the terror watchlist have been encountered between ports of entry this fiscal year alone.”
Kemp also revealed that Ibarra’s arrest led to the apprehension of his brother, Diego Ibarra, who was found in possession of a fraudulent U.S. permanent resident card.

Furthermore, Kemp criticized the Department of Justice for releasing Diego Ibarra back into the community despite his multiple arrests since September 2023, ranging from driving under the influence to shoplifting. Kemp called Biden’s failure to provide governors with the necessary resources to address the issue of illegal aliens being placed in their states “outrageous.”
“The American people deserve to know who is illegally entering our country due to your administration’s failures, and what risks and challenges every state must now face,” Kemp concluded.
How has the brutal murder of a young college student reignited the debate on immigration and border security in the United States?
E brutal murder of the young college student has reignited the debate on immigration and border security in the United States. Governor Brian Kemp wasted no time in addressing this tragedy and pointing fingers at President Biden for the role his administration’s policies played in allowing Ibarra to illegally enter the country.
In his scathing letter to President Biden, Governor Kemp expressed his deep condolences to the Riley family and vowed to see justice served. He highlighted the fact that Ibarra’s criminal record in Venezuela, including charges of assault and kidnapping, should have prevented him from entering the United States in the first place. Unfortunately, due to lax border security and ineffective immigration policies, Ibarra managed to slip through the cracks.
Governor Kemp emphasized that this senseless murder could have been prevented if President Biden had focused on securing the southern border and implementing stronger immigration measures. He called out the administration for failing to address the ongoing crisis and for their refusal to acknowledge the consequences of their actions.
The murder of Laken Riley serves as a tragic reminder of the dangers posed by illegal immigration. It is not just a matter of economic strain or strained resources, but also one of public safety. The United States has a responsibility to protect its citizens, and that starts with securing its borders and enforcing its immigration laws.
Governor Kemp’s criticism of President Biden is not unwarranted. The increase in illegal border crossings and the subsequent rise in crime associated with it cannot be ignored. The Biden administration must take responsibility for the consequences of their policies and prioritize the safety and well-being of American citizens.
The murder of a young college student is a heart-wrenching tragedy that should never have occurred. It is a painful reminder of the need for strong border security and a robust immigration system. In his letter, Governor Kemp demanded answers from President Biden. He called for a change in the administration’s approach to immigration, emphasizing the need for stricter border control measures to prevent criminals from entering the country.
The loss of a promising young life should serve as a wake-up call for the Biden administration. Ignoring the impact of their immigration policies on public safety is not an option. President Biden must address this issue urgently and take immediate action to protect the American people.
In the face of tragedy, it is crucial that we come together as a nation to address the root causes and find solutions. Governor Kemp’s letter is a call for accountability and a plea for a safer future for all Americans. It is now up to President Biden to heed this call and take the necessary steps to prevent such senseless acts of violence in the future.
The murder of Laken Riley should not be forgotten or dismissed. It should serve as a stark reminder of the consequences of failing to secure our borders and enforce our immigration laws. We owe it to Laken and all the victims of illegal immigration to ensure that their deaths were not in vain and that their stories drive meaningful change. Only by learning from these tragedies can we build a safer and more prosperous future for our nation.
