Joe Rogan and Aaron Rodgers slam California Dems for EV push
Podcast Giant Joe Rogan and NFL Quarterback Aaron Rodgers Blast California Democrats for Extreme Climate Agenda
Podcast giant Joe Rogan and NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers recently voiced their strong opposition to California Democrats and their radical climate agenda, which includes a proposed ban on gas-powered vehicles.
The remarks were made in response to the Democrat-controlled state’s aggressive push to ban the sale of new gas cars by 2035, with the intention of promoting the use of electric vehicles. However, this move has already proven to be problematic, as the state’s power grid struggles to handle the increased demand.
“It’s like they can’t wait to exert more control over people in any way possible. They want to outlaw internal combustion engines by 2035. No new sales,” Rogan passionately expressed. “But guess what? Every time there’s a power shortage in the summer, they tell people not to charge their cars because the grid is going to collapse. Are they planning a radical overhaul of the grid in just 11 years? I don’t think so.”
Rodgers sarcastically chimed in, ”I’m sure Newsom can get it done.”
Rogan continued, ”They’re just all talk. They want to appear ‘green’ and ‘inclusive,’ but they couldn’t care less about the country’s infrastructure. It’s absolutely insane.”
Rodgers agreed, stating, “They don’t care at all. It’s all about control. They want total control.”

Rogan, who recently relocated from California to Texas, emphasized, “You realize it’s all about control, and it doesn’t actually change anything. You’re not safer when they implement these measures. You’re better off here.”
Rodgers pointed out, “Well, Texas has its own grid.”
“Exactly,” Rogan responded. “And Texas supplies oil to a significant portion of the country. Texas could practically be its own country.”

What are some of the concerns and potential consequences of a ban on gas-powered vehicles?
Tage, guess who gets the short end of the stick? It’s always the regular people who suffer. It’s ridiculous.”
Rogan’s frustration is shared by NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who chimed in, expressing his concerns about the feasibility of such a ban. “I mean, I love California, but this just seems like a knee-jerk reaction without fully thinking through the consequences,” Rodgers said. “What about the millions of people who rely on gas-powered vehicles for their livelihoods? Are we going to leave them behind?”
Indeed, the push for a ban on gas-powered vehicles raises numerous concerns. For one, the infrastructure needed to support electric vehicles is far from being fully established. Charging stations are not as readily available as gas stations, and the cost of electric vehicles remains higher than that of traditional cars. Additionally, the demand for electricity will undoubtedly skyrocket if the majority of Californians switch to electric vehicles, potentially leading to even more power shortages and blackouts.
Furthermore, the ban on gas-powered vehicles seems to disregard the fact that California is already struggling to maintain a reliable power grid. The state has experienced recurring power shortages and rolling blackouts, mainly due to its heavy reliance on renewable energy sources such as solar and wind. Introducing a massive influx of electric vehicles into the mix may exacerbate this problem, as the power grid may not be equipped to handle the increased demand.
It is worth noting that Rogan and Rodgers are not alone in their opposition to California Democrats’ extreme climate agenda. Many experts and analysts have raised concerns about the feasibility and practicality of such policies. Critics argue that instead of focusing solely on banning gas-powered vehicles, California should prioritize investing in renewable energy infrastructure and technology that can support the increased demand without compromising the reliability of the power grid.
California Democrats’ radical climate agenda also runs the risk of alienating a significant portion of the population. The proposed ban on gas-powered vehicles could adversely affect low-income individuals and communities that cannot afford to switch to electric vehicles or do not have access to adequate charging infrastructure. This agenda fails to consider the economic implications and potential hardships it may impose on those who are already struggling financially.
While there is no denying that climate change is a pressing issue that requires immediate attention, it is essential to approach solutions with pragmatism and consideration for all stakeholders. Rushing into extreme measures without thoroughly assessing their feasibility and potential consequences may do more harm than good. Rogan and Rodgers’ opposition to the ban on gas-powered vehicles is a reminder that finding a balance between environmental sustainability and practicality is crucial.
