Joe Concha slams James Carville: ‘He’s been wrong about everything’

The article from the Washington Examiner reports on senior writer Joe Concha’s criticism of democratic strategist James Carville. carville recently mocked Vice President JD Vance’s trip to England, referring to it dismissively as a visit to the “Martha’s Vineyard of England” during his podcast, “Politics of War.” While in England, Vance met with U.S. troops and British officials. Concha responded on Fox & Friends, calling Carville’s commentary provocative but unreliable, noting Carville’s history of inaccurate political predictions, such as incorrectly forecasting Hillary Clinton’s 2016 landslide victory and Kamala Harris’s win over Donald Trump in 2024. Carville also urged Democrats to aggressively target Vance in their messaging, advice Concha dismissed given Carville’s lack of credibility. Additionally, Concha argued that Bill Clinton’s 1992 victory was more due to Clinton’s charisma and the economic recession under George H.W. Bush rather than Carville’s campaign management.

Joe Concha slams James Carville: ‘He’s been wrong about everything’

Washington Examiner Senior Writer Joe Concha sounded off about Democratic strategist James Carville’s recent criticism of Vice President JD Vance’s trip to England.

Carville ranted on his podcast, Politics of War, that Vance went to the “Martha’s Vineyard of England.”

While in England on vacation, Vance spoke to U.S. troops stationed at the Royal Air Force Base in Fairford and met with foreign leaders, including British Foreign Minister David Lammy

“At this point [Carville] is only on because he says things in that Louisiana cajun accent that is usually provocative, and therefore that is what makes him interesting, I suppose,” Concha said on Fox & Friends. “But look at his record, the guy is always wrong.”

Carville, the lead strategist in former President Bill Clinton’s successful 1992 presidential campaign, criticized Democrats for failing to target Vance in their political messaging.

“Use JD Vance,” Carville said in Thursday’s episode of his podcast, “and just kick the s*** out of him every chance you get.”

Concha argued that Carville doesn’t have credibility, noting that he has often been wrong in the past, including predictions that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton would win in a “landslide” in the 2016 election and that former Vice President Kamala Harris would beat President Donald Trump in the 2024 election.

HARRIS ANNOUNCES FALL BOOK TOUR FOR HER UPCOMING MEMOIR

During an appearance on Fox & Friends on Friday, Concha said that Bill Clinton won in 1992 because of his “charisma” and former President George H.W. Bush was presiding over a recession.

“[Carville] rode [Bill] Clinton’s coattails for that campaign,” Concha said. “He ran a campaign where it wasn’t so much [Clinton] needed a campaign manager to win that election.”
