The 72-year-old first lady had plans to begin the new school year at Northern Virginia Community College, where she teaches English and writing. However, due to her positive test, substitute teachers are being arranged for her classes.
Prior to her positive test, Jill Biden had accompanied her husband to Florida to assess the damage caused by Hurricane Idalia. President Biden then spent part of the Labor Day weekend at their Delaware beach house before attending a union event in Philadelphia and returning to the White House.
It is worth noting that both the Bidens had previously contracted COVID-19 last summer.
