They proudly state that the uniform is in near-perfect condition, missing only a single button to retain its original state. This impeccable preservation has earned it a Superior/Superior-Excellent designation of 9.5/10.
The jersey’s flannel fabric remains untarnished, free from stains, moth holes, or significant damage.
“It’s a rare sight to behold an all-original Yankees jersey from that era,” exclaimed Chris Ivy, the director of sports auctions at Heritage Auctions. “To have a 1950s era all-original Mickey Mantle pinstripes jersey that is photo-matched to several games is very scarce indeed.”
