It Certainly Sounds Like Biden Wants World War Over Ukraine

President Joe Biden addressed the United Nations on Wednesday and reiterated his commitment to helping Ukraine and Russia find a peaceful, diplomatic resolution to the ongoing war.

Just kidding, that sort of rhetoric has been coming from Henry Kissinger and Pope Francis. Biden instead used his international pulpit to inch the entire globe closer to World War III.

Against the backdrop of the president’s previous commitment to support Ukraine with U.S. tax dollars and military aid “as long as it takes,” any reasonable person would conclude the next thing coming in this saga is a more direct conflict involving allied partners against Russia.

“Russia has shamelessly violated the core tenets of the U.N. charter — no more important than the clear prohibition against countries taking the territory of their neighbors by force,” Biden told the U.N. General Assembly. “If nations can pursue their imperial ambitions without consequences, then we put at risk everything this very institution stands for.”

There have been seven months of sanctions, boycotts, tough-talking, and billions of dollars from the U.S. alone flooding into Ukraine. Even prior to Russia’s invasion, the U.S. was warning against starting war in Ukraine. In turn, Russia has continued its fight practically unabated.

Biden has zero interest in peace talks. Every other “consequence” has failed thus far in stopping Putin.

It seems likely that the only “consequence” left would be for countries like the U.S. to enter the war militarily.

“Each of us in this body who determined to uphold the principles and beliefs we pledged to defend as members of the United Nations, must be clear, firm and unwavering in our resolve,” the president added on Wednesday.

Of course, critics might argue that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s implied threat of nuclear weapons Wednesday morning forced Biden’s hand to drench his speech with heated rhetoric. That doesn’t add up based on additional reporting.

Per Politico, “All along, Biden planned to use his speech to denounce Putin and urge the West to hold together in continued support of Kyiv.”

He could have used it to call for peace. He chose not to. In fact, he actively rejected the notion of ending the war, unless Russia retreats completely.

“The United States wants this war to end on just terms,” Biden said. “On terms, we all signed up for, that you cannot seize a nation’s territory by force. The only country standing in the way of that is Russia.”

Yet it is evident that Russia has zero inclination to retreat or give up any land it has conquered.

The president of the U.S. doesn’t have any interest in fostering peace talks. Such diplomacy would require both sides to sacrifice and compromise.

So, the war will continue.

As it progresses, it isn’t hard to see that the next step after sending American guns, missiles, and tanks will be sending American troops.
