Israel issues evacuation warning to Tehran residents
Israel has issued an evacuation warning for residents of a specific area in Tehran as tensions escalate in an ongoing conflict with Iran, which has now entered its fourth day. The warning targets Block 3 in northeastern Tehran, where residents are advised to leave due to anticipated military actions by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). Israeli military officials have asserted full aerial superiority over Tehran, comparing their military operations there to previous actions in Gaza, Lebanon, and the West Bank.
The escalation follows a series of missile exchanges between Israel and Iran, with both sides reportedly suffering casualties. The IDF has conducted significant strikes in Tehran, targeting over 20 military command centers associated with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. Casualty reports indicate that Israel has suffered 24 fatalities and over 500 injuries, while Iranian sources claim that 224 people have been killed, predominantly civilians. “At this time, we can say that we have achieved full aerial superiority over Tehran’s skies,” said military spokesman Brig. Gen. Effie Defrin.
A spokesperson compared Israel’s capabilities in Tehran to those seen in Gaza, Lebanon, and the occupied West Bank. The Israel Defense Forces have issued similar warnings in Gaza and Lebanon before attacking.
Tehran is home to nearly 10 million people and is the largest city in Iran and West Asia. This evening’s evacuation order is for residents in Block 3 of Tehran, which is in the northeastern part of the city.
“In the coming hours, the IDF will operate in the area, in line with its actions in recent days across Tehran, to attack military facilities belonging to the Iranian regime,” IDF spokesman Avichay Adraee said on X.
On Sunday, the IDF said it completed a large strike in Tehran, which targeted more than 20 military “command centers” and the Quds Force, which is the overseas branch of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

In the conflict so far, Israel said 24 people have been killed and more than 500 have been injured. The IDF additionally said that Iran has launched more than 370 missiles and drones at the country over the last few days.
The Iranian health ministry said 224 people have been killed since Israel’s attack began Friday and that an additional 1,277 people were hospitalized. It noted that 90% of the casualties were civilians.
