IRS Says Operations Not Impacted by Partial Government Shutdown

Amid a partial government shutdown that began last month, the Internal Revenue Service said operations woudl not be disrupted and would continue under funding provided by 2022 legislation until further notice. the agency noted it would run during the lapse in appropriations while awaiting a resolution after the House passed a measure to end the shutdown. The Internal Revenue Service said in a statement Monday that operations are not being disrupted in the midst of a partial government shutdown that was initiated last month but is due to end soon after the House passed a measure to do so.
“The Internal Revenue Service will continue operations under the current lapse in appropriations until further notice, using funding from 2022 legislation,” the federal tax revenue agency said in the statement.
