A San Francisco Sandwich Shop Owner Expresses Frustration After Being Assaulted by a Homeless Man
A San Francisco sandwich shop owner, Peterson Harter, recently took to Instagram to vent his anger and frustration after being punched in the face by a homeless man who had urinated on his trash. Harter, who opened his shop “New Orleans Muffulettas” just three months ago, expressed his disbelief and disappointment in the city.
“I can’t believe I live in a city where people just piss on the street, come punch you in the face and get away with it,” Harter exclaimed. “I’m fed up with this godd*mn city. It’s like I can’t just be outside running a business without getting punched in the face. So I’m pissed off right now. Really f***ing pissed off.”
Harter’s frustration continued as he questioned the state of the city and its leadership. He tagged California Democrat governor Gavin Newsom and Democrat San Francisco mayor London Breed, asking, “What’s the plan?”

Harter also shared a photo of the alleged attacker on Instagram, urging his followers to help identify the individual. He wrote, “Hey guys, here is a picture of the guy who assaulted me yesterday. If you can share this to see if we can find him, I would greatly appreciate any help.”
Unfortunately, Harter’s experience is not an isolated incident. Crime has become so rampant in San Francisco that some stores have resorted to padlocking their freezers at night. One Walgreens in the city has even chained up its freezer section to prevent shoplifting.

Workers said normally shoplifters clean out all the pizza and ice cream every night. They’re usually hit 20x a day. The whole store is virtually locked up.
