Military’s disregard for ‘readiness’ evident in firing members who refuse experimental shot.
Democrats and Weak Republicans Attack Sen. Tommy Tuberville for Defending Life
Sen. Tommy Tuberville has become the target of attacks from Democrats and weak Republicans in recent weeks. His offense? Forcing individual votes on President Biden’s military appointees to protest the Pentagon’s use of taxpayer money for abortions.
Tuberville, a member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, has been slowing down military personnel moves that require Senate confirmation. He is not blocking votes, but rather forcing the committee to vote on each nomination individually instead of in large numbers.
This protest has been ongoing since March, according to the New York Post.
Dishonest Attacks and Hypocrisy
Central to Democrats’ attacks is Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin’s claim that Tuberville’s actions could impact military readiness and national security. Democrats and their allies in the media have jumped on this narrative, bashing Tuberville for fighting against a policy that a majority of Americans oppose.
Sen. Jack Reed, D-R.I., even went as far as saying, “The Senator from Alabama has achieved something that Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin could have only dreamed of. Our military and our nation are weakened by his actions.”
But where were these same people when the Pentagon was kicking out service members for refusing the experimental Covid shot? The Austin-led Department of Defense purged over 8,400 healthy service members for choosing not to comply with the Biden regime’s compulsory vaccination requirement. And the majority of those who sought exemptions had their requests denied.
Furthermore, the Pentagon’s Covid patient data has been revealed to be inaccurate and potentially misleading. The agency cannot even claim that its Covid policies were effective in stopping the spread of the virus or keeping service members healthy.
The phony outrage from the Washington, D.C. political class is really about advancing a politically convenient narrative and expanding taxpayer-funded abortion. When our service members needed their support the most and military readiness was actually at risk, they were nowhere to be found.
