IDF Posts Video Of Al Shifa Hospital Hamas Tunnel Network, Apparent Hostages At Hospital
The Israel Defense Forces Expose Hamas’ Use of Hospitals for Terror Activities
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has recently released compelling footage that reveals the existence of underground tunnels and bunkers beneath the al Shifa Hospital in Gaza. This evidence supports Israel’s claims that Hamas is utilizing hospitals for its nefarious terrorist operations. Moreover, the IDF has also published surveillance footage that allegedly shows hostages of the terror group being transported through the hospital.
The video footage of one of the tunnels was obtained by lowering devices into a tunnel entrance that the IDF had discovered within the Shifa complex.
The tunnel shaft features a captivating winding staircase, approximately ten feet deep, which then descends another 20 feet to reach the extensive tunnel network.
Stretching for about 15 feet, the tunnel continues until it takes a turn, spanning roughly 150 feet, and ultimately culminating in a blast door. This door allows Hamas to launch attacks through it, effectively obstructing the IDF’s access to the organization’s headquarters and underground assets. The IDF emphasized, “This type of door is used by the Hamas terror organization to block the ability of our forces to enter the organization’s headquarters and underground assets.”

“The findings undeniably prove that buildings within the hospital complex are being exploited as infrastructure for the Hamas terror organization and its heinous activities,” stated the IDF. “This serves as further evidence of the cynical use of the residents of the Gaza Strip by Hamas as human shields for their murderous terrorist acts.”
According to a report by The Times of Israel, the IDF has released additional footage and images captured by surveillance cameras at al Shifa. These visuals appear to depict Hamas terrorists both inside the hospital and outside the rooms where the hostages were held, as well as stolen IDF vehicles brought to the medical center.
“In the footage published Sunday by the military, one of the hostages is visibly wounded in his arm and is brought in on a hospital bed, while the second is forcefully dragged into the hospital on his feet,” the outlet reported.
“These findings prove that the Hamas terror organization used Shifa Hospital on the day of the massacre itself as terror infrastructure,” emphasized the IDF.

Testimony from a British Doctor
A British doctor who spent three months working at Al Shifa hospital in 2021 shared a chilling account. He revealed, “When I was first asked to work there, I was explicitly instructed to avoid a certain part of the hospital, as entering it would put me at risk of being shot.”
When asked if he was given an explanation for this restriction, he replied, “No, but it was implicitly understood that the area was being used for non-medical purposes. I frequently observed suspicious individuals entering and leaving the ward, which led to a basement. The secretive manner in which this information was conveyed mirrored the hushed tones used when discussing Hamas. People were genuinely afraid. I cannot stress enough the pervasive atmosphere of collective paranoia that permeated the hospital.”

What challenges does the IDF face in distinguishing between combatants and non-combatants due to the presence of Hamas’ infrastructure in civilian areas
,” added the IDF, referring to the recent conflict in Gaza. “They cynically exploited the hospital’s infrastructure and the presence of civilians, endangering their lives and using them as shields.”
These revelations by the IDF shed light on the disturbing tactics employed by Hamas in its fight against Israel. The use of hospitals, which are meant to serve as sanctuaries for the sick and injured, to carry out terrorist activities is a clear violation of international norms and puts innocent lives at risk.
It is not the first time that Hamas has been accused of using civilian structures, such as hospitals and schools, for its terrorist operations. In previous conflicts, Israel has uncovered similar instances where the terrorist group used these facilities to store weapons, launch attacks, and shelter its fighters.
The IDF’s evidence of tunnels beneath the al Shifa Hospital further highlights the need for a comprehensive approach to address the issue of terrorism. It is crucial for the international community to condemn these actions and hold Hamas accountable for its disregard of civilian lives.
Furthermore, these findings emphasize the challenges faced by the IDF in carrying out its operations. The presence of Hamas’ infrastructure in civilian areas complicates the task of distinguishing between combatants and non-combatants, increasing the risk of civilian casualties. It is necessary to recognize the complexity of the situation and acknowledge the efforts made by the IDF to minimize harm to innocent lives while dealing with a terrorist organization.
The exposure of Hamas’ use of hospitals for terrorist activities is a wake-up call for the international community to take action. It is crucial to condemn such acts and work towards finding a sustainable solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. This includes addressing the root causes of the conflict, promoting dialogue, and empowering moderate voices on both sides.
In conclusion, the IDF’s recent evidence of tunnels and terrorist activities within the al Shifa Hospital in Gaza provides solid proof of Hamas’ exploitation of civilian infrastructure for its nefarious purposes. These findings underscore the need for a concerted international effort to address the issue of terrorism and find a lasting resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
