A Biden vs. Trump: Hunter Biden’s Attorney Sends Threatening Demand

A surprising feud has emerged between President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, and former President Donald Trump. The clash is not happening in the political arena, but rather through their legal teams.

On Thursday, Biden’s attorney, Abbe David Lowell, sent a cease and desist letter to Trump’s lawyers, demanding that Trump refrain from making defamatory statements that could incite violence against Hunter Biden.

In the letter, Lowell, who represents Hunter Biden at the Winston & Strawn law firm, specifically addressed Trump’s legal team and emphasized the potential harm caused by Trump’s statements. He pointed out a post on Trump’s Truth Social platform that criticized the U.S. attorney handling Hunter Biden’s prosecution, referring to him as a “COWARD” and suggesting he should have given a harsher punishment.

Lowell took issue with Trump’s use of the phrase “death sentence” and argued that such rhetoric could be interpreted as a call to violence. He even connected Trump’s words to the Capitol incursion on January 6, 2021, implying that they played a role in inciting the violence.

Interestingly, Lowell invoked the case of Paul Pelosi, the husband of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who was attacked by an individual with Hunter Biden’s name on his “hit list.” He warned that another incident like this could occur if Trump does not stop making inflammatory statements.

Given Trump’s current legal challenges and his reputation for being outspoken, it remains to be seen how seriously he will take this cease and desist letter from Hunter Biden’s attorney.
