The lawyers‍ of President ⁢Joe Biden‘s ⁤son, ⁤ Hunter Biden, have taken legal action⁢ by filing a lawsuit against an aide in the ⁢White House of former ‌president Donald Trump. The lawsuit alleges that the aide, Garrett⁢ Ziegler, played a role in the‌ publication ⁣of embarrassing emails and⁤ images from Hunter Biden’s laptop.

The lawsuit, filed in a California federal court,⁤ accuses Ziegler‍ of violating California’s computer fraud ⁤and data access laws. ‍It demands a jury trial ⁢and ‍seeks justice for the unauthorized access and dissemination of “tens of thousands of emails, thousands of photos, and dozens of videos ‌and recordings” belonging to Hunter Biden.

The suit further accuses Ziegler and other unnamed defendants of tampering with and ‌damaging computer data that they do not own.⁢ Such actions can carry serious consequences, including ⁤imprisonment or ⁢fines, under California law.

The accessed and ‌copied data includes sensitive ‍information such as Hunter Biden’s credit card details, financial and bank records, and data typically found in a consumer reporting agency file. The suit claims that Ziegler ‍bypassed technical barriers specifically designed to prevent unauthorized access to this information.

In addition to seeking legal remedies, the lawsuit also‍ requests an ‍injunction to prevent Ziegler from continuing to access or ⁣tamper⁤ with Hunter Biden’s data.

In response to the lawsuit, Ziegler stated that ‌he had⁢ not yet been officially served but had read about⁢ it. He dismissed ‍the lawsuit, stating that⁤ it holds no value and that his actions are protected by state and federal‌ laws and regulations.

It is worth noting that ⁤Hunter Biden filed‌ this lawsuit one day after an⁢ impeachment inquiry into his father was announced. ⁣House speaker Kevin McCarthy initiated⁣ the inquiry, accusing President Joe‌ Biden of benefiting ⁢from his son’s foreign business ventures during his time as vice president. The White House denies these allegations.

Separately, U.S. prosecutors have stated their intention to seek an ⁢indictment of ‌Hunter Biden by September 29 in a tax⁢ and firearms case.
