Hunter Biden to share his paintings with daughter in paternity settlement.

Hunter Biden Settles Child Dispute Case with Paintings

Hunter Biden, the son of President Joe Biden, has reached a settlement in a child dispute case in Arkansas. As part of the agreement with Lunden Roberts, the mother of their young daughter, Biden has agreed to give some of his paintings to his daughter.

A recent court filing outlines the details of the settlement, although some information has been redacted. Biden, who had requested a reduction in his monthly child support payments, will continue to provide financial support, but the exact amount remains undisclosed.

What is clear from the filing is that Biden has agreed to assign a number of his paintings to his daughter for a specified period of time. The paintings, with a minimum size of 24×24, will be chosen by the child and either sent to her or to a gallery designated by Roberts. Any proceeds from the sale of the paintings will be wired to an account designated by Roberts.

Biden’s artwork has garnered attention, with some pieces listed for as high as $500,000 and selling for at least $225,000. This has raised concerns about ethics and transparency, especially regarding the anonymity of buyers. House Republicans are currently investigating these art sales, along with other financial dealings involving Biden and his family.

In addition to the child dispute case, Hunter Biden recently reached a plea deal on tax and gun violations, potentially avoiding prison time. The settlement also includes the withdrawal of Roberts’ counterclaim for a name change for the child.

Controversy Surrounding the Name Change

Roberts had requested a name change for her daughter, arguing that it would provide opportunities similar to those enjoyed by other members of the Biden family. She also claimed that Biden has had no contact with their daughter, and that President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden are estranged from their granddaughter.

Biden’s lawyer opposed the name change, citing concerns about the child’s privacy and a “peaceful existence” being compromised by notoriety.
