How To Help America Survive Our Avalanche Of Single Female Leftist Harpies
The article discusses a phenomenon described by psychotherapist Jonathan Alpert, who reports that about 75% of his patients are severely affected-unable to function normally-due to intense emotional distress over the existence of former president Donald Trump, a condition he terms “Trump Derangement Syndrome,” which resembles obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD). The piece emphasizes that many left-leaning women are particularly afflicted by mental health issues, including misery and loneliness, exacerbated by social media echo chambers and pervasive left-wing propaganda that fuels their anxiety and anger.
the author uses the metaphor of “harpies” from Greek mythology to describe these women, portraying them as vicious and vengeful figures driven by toxic femininity and performative rage. Different “harpy styles” are illustrated through various public figures exhibiting opposed, entitled, or sadistic behavior. The article criticizes the culture and mainstream feminism for promoting misleading ideals that contribute to women’s confusion and emotional instability, resulting in fractured relationships and increased isolation.
Social contagion through media and influential “woke” celebrities is said to worsen this dynamic, fostering intolerance and sometiems even violence. The piece calls for understanding the root causes of this unhealthy fixation on Trump and suggests that building genuine friendships and offering compassionate help might lead to more peaceful and stable lives for these women. Without intervention, the author warns that continued rage among these groups risks further social breakdown and violence.
Psychotherapist Jonathan Alpert recently reported that 75 percent of his patients cannot function because they are so triggered by President Donald Trump’s existence. Alpert didn’t specify what percentage of his patients are women, but numerous reports show that leftist women today are especially afflicted with mental illness, misery, and loneliness. Alpert explained that “Trump Derangement Syndrome” matches the clinical symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
They can’t sleep. They can’t enjoy life. And yet some psychotherapists actually advise them to isolate themselves even further by cutting off family and friends who voted for Trump.
Meanwhile, sane people everywhere are puzzled to see harpy-like female performative rage and vulgarity explode in the media and in politics. Many now view such women as the base of the of the Democrat Party. These rage-filled women show the same symptoms as Dr. Alpert’s patients with OCD.
We must try to analyze the cause of their unhealthy obsession with Trump because it’s leading to violence and the dismantling of social cohesion.
The Harpy Metaphor
In Greek mythology, harpies were birdlike creatures with the faces and breasts of women. In legends of The Aeneid and of Jason and the Argonauts, they are depicted as vile beasts of vengeance flying out of nowhere to screech and attack. They use superhuman energy to inflict pain and suffering. We might say they are expressions of toxic femininity, as Mark Hemingway so aptly described here at The Federalist.
It may seem unkind to refer to such women as harpies. After all, they do suffer deeply, and they’ll tell you repeatedly how miserable they are. However, they’ll accuse anyone who doesn’t share their opinions, especially about Trump, as the very source of their misery. They are caught in a trap. And so are you, whether you agree with them or not. It’s a cruel feedback loop.
This trap causes such irrational frustration that they can get violent in both word and deed. So, sadly, the metaphor of a harpy serves well to describe the absurd rages these women produce.
What is causing this harmful level of mass delusion?
Nonstop Propaganda Breeds Social Contagion
Psychologist Jonathan Haidt recently remarked that young leftist women are especially prone to anxiety, due in large part to their addiction to social media and the echo chambers that “suck them into that mindset.”
The constant scrolling through leftwing propaganda has a conditioning effect, not unlike cultic grooming. Women seem especially susceptible to that repetition, and they often drag men along with them. Social contagion is very real, as we’ve seen with the transgender mania.
Angry, woke mean girl celebrities serve as role models. Their dominance in the media, academia, and the blue suburbs goes hand in hand with an unprecedented tolerance for violence. Leftists in positions of authority, including professors, and elementary and high school teachers, for example, publicly celebrated the assassination of Charlie Kirk. Yet they tend not to face any substantial consequences for doing so.
Even worse is the case of Angela Walker who was just elected to the city council of Bangor, Maine, despite being convicted of killing a man. Walker’s victim was a Canadian tourist whose throat and nostrils she filled with sand until he suffocated to death. She and her accomplice brother justified the killing because of something that the lone man allegedly said while walking alone on the beach. Now Walker holds a position of authority over local public policy, and she’ll soon be primed to seek higher office.
All of the above sets the tone for more women to participate in riots and attacks on police. And so it goes.
At Least Four Harpy Styles Incite Violence
Harpy behavior takes many forms. The ghoulish self-righteous type is Jennifer Welch, celebrity interior decorator and podcaster. In the clip below, you can observe her middle-school-bully treatment of swimmer Riley Gaines for speaking out against men competing in women’s sports: “Nobody likes you!!. . . . you’re an insufferable twat! . . .dumb bitch! . . . f—k you, Riley Gaines!” etc.
Welch has also performed sanctimonious assassination prep screeds against White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller and other Republicans, calling those who disagree with her “religious addicts.”
The Cheerful Sadist is the style perhaps best demonstrated by stand-up “comedian” Michelle Wolf. She took shameless pleasure in publicly mocking then White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders at a White House Correspondent’s Dinner in 2018.
The power-hungry, passive-aggressive style was recently displayed by Democrat Abigail Spanberger in her run for Virginia governor. She was asked by her opponent about then- Democrat candidate (now elected) Attorney General Jay Jones, who had openly fantasized about murdering a Republican colleague and enjoying watching that colleague’s young children dead in their mother’s arms. Spanberger’s response was to refuse eye contact and remain silent and smirky.
Abigail?
For 30s, Spanberger stands in silence… staring, smirking… as Lt. Gov. Winsome Earle-Sears, candidate for VA Gov, questions Spanberger why she hasn’t asked Jay Jones to drop out of the AG race, after his texts call to murder former GOP Speaker Todd Gilbert’s kids pic.twitter.com/FBTuytBnD2

This same leadership style – psychopathically power-hungry, cold, and intellectually talentless –seems to be shared by Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs, among others.
Rude, entitled, and foul-mouthed is the harpy style preferred by California Democrat gubernatorial candidate Katie Porter. She enjoys a sense of entitlement unknown to the vast majority of Americans. “Get out of my f—king shot!” she shamelessly shouted to one of her staffers while doing an interview.
Probably the best way to end the shutdown would be to lock Thune and Schumer in a room with Katie Porter and tell them they can’t come out until there’s a deal.

During a contentious 2023 speaker vote, Porter made a scene of reading The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F–k on the House floor. Charming.

It’s an open secret that Hillary Clinton shares this style. She’s often reported to be abusive and contemptuous of her staff, including her security detail. If such women are willing to treat their own staff and supporters that way, what kinds of malice do they intend for their political opponents?
How did we get to this place?
The culture sends out a lot of mixed messages to women. The big lies of modern feminism — that social acceptance must come through promiscuity, abortions, and “leaning in” to girl boss high-status careers — are in themselves social contagions. These lies have taken a huge toll on women, causing them confusion and frustration.
Nature abhors a vacuum, and I think many women are squirming within the vacuums of misery that pseudo-feminism has produced in them. Unable to carry on a normal conversation, they easily get triggered and thrash about.
Worse, many disown family and friends who disagree, and thus become even lonelier. They glom onto whatever social media tells them will get social acceptance. It’s a vicious cycle that feeds the weaponization of loneliness.
We should think about how best to solve this problem. Clearly, these women need real friends who can help lead them into more peaceful lives. Helping them can be a delicate matter if you’re a conservative. We may need to get tips from women who were able to escape that same trap, like writer and former leftist Sasha Stone as well as women whose stories here and here and here are part of Brandon Straka’s #WalkAway Movement.
If we cannot at least help the helpable among them, the rage of trapped harpy women will increasingly incite violence. We all suffer whenever people live out Proverbs 26:11: “As a dog returns to his own vomit, So a fool repeats his folly.”
But if more such women can develop peace and stability through true friendship, then we can all live happier lives.
