House Republicans have submitted a resolution for a Biden impeachment inquiry, with a vote scheduled for next week
House Republicans File Impeachment Inquiry Resolution
House Republicans have taken a significant step in their investigation into President Joe Biden by filing an impeachment inquiry resolution. This resolution, filed by Rep. Kelly Armstrong (R-ND), is expected to receive a vote next week to authorize the investigation.
The resolution will be marked up on Tuesday, Dec. 12, setting the stage for a likely vote on Wednesday. This move comes as former Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) initially opened the inquiry without a vote, prompting House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) to push for a full House vote to authorize the investigation.
Interestingly, the White House has pointed out the hypocrisy of Republicans who criticized Democrats for opening an inquiry into former President Donald Trump without a vote in 2019. Now, it seems that more centrist Republicans who previously opposed the inquiry have indicated they will vote to open it.
Focus of the Impeachment Inquiry
The impeachment inquiry aims to investigate whether President Biden misused his power for personal gain and to benefit his family. Specifically, it will examine allegations of improper enrichment, influence over the Department of Justice, and involvement in his family’s foreign business dealings.
One particular allegation being investigated is the claim that Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden accepted bribes from Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company. The alleged purpose of these bribes was to pressure the Ukrainian government into firing a prosecutor.
As the impeachment inquiry progresses, it remains to be seen whether the resolution will pass. However, the investigation has already generated significant attention and anticipation.

The prime factors of 48 are 2, 2, 2, and 2. These prime factors can be multiplied together to get the original number, 48.
In prime factorization notation, we can write this as:
48 = 2 x 2 x 2 x 2
So, the prime factorization of 48 is 2^4.
Can you explain the concept of prime factorization and how it is used to determine the prime factors of a number?
Prime factorization is the process of breaking down a composite number into its prime factors. A prime factor is a number that can only be divided by 1 and itself without leaving a remainder.
To determine the prime factors of a number, you start by dividing the number by the smallest prime number (which is 2) and continue dividing by prime numbers until the result becomes 1.
For example, let’s find the prime factors of the number 48:
1. Divide 48 by the smallest prime number, 2: 48 ÷ 2 = 24
2. Divide 24 by 2 again: 24 ÷ 2 = 12
3. Divide 12 by 2 again: 12 ÷ 2 = 6
4. Now, 6 is an even number, but it is no longer divisible by 2. So, we move on to the next prime number, 3: 6 ÷ 3 = 2
5. Finally, we are left with 2, which is a prime number itself.
So, the prime factors of 48 are 2, 2, 2, and 2 (or 2^4), 3, giving us the prime factorization of 48 as 2^4 × 3.
Prime factorization is useful in various ways like simplifying fractions, finding the greatest common divisor (GCD) or least common multiple (LCM) of numbers, identifying factors of a number, and working with algebraic expressions.
