Failed Attempt to Discredit Speaker Johnson’s Finances: ‘Doesn’t Even Faze Me?’
Gangs and the Trustworthiness Test
Gangs often require new members to commit a crime as a way to prove their trustworthiness. It is only after completing this initiation that existing gang members consider the new recruits to be reliable.
Speaker Johnson’s Finances: A Desperate Attack
In a desperate attempt to discredit Republican Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, establishment shill Matt Fuller of the Daily Beast complained that Johnson lacks the personal wealth of a ruling-class oligarch.
Fuller’s post on X shared a Daily Beast hit piece titled “Does New Speaker of the House Mike Johnson Have a Bank Account?” In it, Fuller highlighted Johnson’s lack of retirement savings, stocks, and assets, as well as his modest bank account balance and various loans.
Mike Johnson doesn’t have any retirement savings, own a single stock, or have any assets at all. He has less than $5,000 in his bank account.
He’s got a 250-500K mortgage, a home equity loan, and a personal loan.
So what’s his retirement plan? To lobby? https://t.co/xPzUPqqc4w

Conservatives responded incredulously to Fuller’s criticism, questioning whether Johnson’s financial situation should be a cause for anger or concern.
So he can relate to the struggles that we’re all out here having?
I’m supposed to be angry at this?

Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida pointed out the absurdity of Fuller’s comments, highlighting that Johnson’s lack of wealth and involvement in shady business deals should be seen as a positive.
The Daily Beast is furious that @SpeakerJohnson isn’t rich, corrupt or rich from being corrupt.
He doesn’t have shady business deals. He doesn’t trade stocks as a congressman.
Cry more, I guess? https://t.co/eRVtp9p0u7

Other X users also criticized the misplaced criticism of Johnson’s finances.
This is hilarious. We’re no longer going after the ones that have become multimillionaires while public servants, we’re now going after the ones that aren’t. God forbid someone in that Office has actual morals & ethics!

That’s rare and refreshing. So he should have an understanding of everyday Americans and understand our financial security and safety should be priority number one.

Fuller’s criticism of Johnson not only falls flat but also exposes the role of establishment journalists in covering up for the ruling class. These journalists rarely reveal their true intentions, preferring to initiate their members in private.
The Desperation of the Establishment Media
Fuller’s comments on Johnson’s finances are so revealing that they almost seem too desperate to be true. It is astonishing that the establishment media believes such a critique would resonate with the general public. This level of detachment from ordinary Americans is a clear indication of the journalist’s disconnect.
Furthermore, Fuller’s comments provide a perfect example of the establishment media’s bias and agenda. They serve as a reminder that these journalists primarily protect the interests of the ruling class, even if they rarely admit it openly.

What should be the determining factors in evaluating a politician’s ability to lead, instead of their personal wealth

It is clear that Fuller’s attack on Johnson’s finances is nothing more than a desperate attempt to discredit a Republican leader. Instead of focusing on Johnson’s character, qualifications, or accomplishments, Fuller and the Daily Beast resort to personal attacks and attempts to portray him as unfit for office based on his financial situation.
This type of shallow and dishonest reporting only serves to further divide the political landscape and distract from the real issues at hand. Rather than attacking someone’s finances, we should be discussing policy proposals, evaluating leadership skills, and engaging in meaningful discussions about the direction of our country.
Attacking a politician based on their finances is a cheap tactic that only serves to undermine the integrity of our political discourse. It is essential that we hold ourselves to a higher standard and focus on the substance of the issues rather than engaging in petty and irrelevant attacks.
Mike Johnson’s personal wealth or lack thereof should not be a determining factor in his ability to lead or make sound decisions on behalf of his constituents. Instead, we should evaluate his track record, his commitment to conservative principles, and his dedication to serving the American people.
Let us move away from these superficial attacks and focus on what truly matters – the issues, the policies, and the future of our country. Engaging in productive and respectful debates is the only way we can make progress and work towards a better future for all Americans.
