Here’s Why Democrats Are Subjugating Themselves To Somalis

Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., declared herself to be “Somalia First.” Soyboy Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey danced before a group of Somalis on stage waving the Somali flag of Minnesota in a parody of pandering. Not to be outdone, Minnesota Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan recently dressed in a hijab and extolled how “the Somali community is part of the fabric of the state of Minnesota.” These videos need to be encased in glass and paraded through the country, displayed like Tutankhamen’s treasures were in 1977 as a glorious open window into what the left is.

Flanagan’s fashion choice for Somali TV (yes, a real thing) and Frey’s resurrection of burlesque are stunts — P.T. Barnum mermaids without any of the fun. Take Flanagan. She doesn’t believe in the hijab, or Islam, or anything else she’s peddling. How could she when, in previous incarnations, she has flaunted a “Protect Trans Kids” tee (the knife illustration doing nice double duty as both reminder of child mutilation and perhaps a symbolic call for violence) and rocked the “middle age Pride parade marcher” look, both of which are at odds with Islam? Her actions indicate that Flanagan believes only in power, and she will dance to whatever tune played by whatever fiddler to keep herself in power or to keep the way clear for amassing more of it (she’s currently a frontrunner to be the Democrat’s Minnesota nominee for the Senate).

She is no different from the entire left, which has taken up issue after issue after issue and used it as a cudgel for power, from man-made climate change and gun violence to “No kings!” All supposedly existential threats. None of which they believed. The Somalis are just the latest in this line.

Why the Somali tune specifically? Why subjugate yourself in a humiliation ritual before people who have stolen an estimated $9,000,000,000 (so far discovered) in Minnesota alone? Especially when the Somali presence is puny? Somalis make up less than 2 percent of Minnesota’s population. They make up less than 1 percent of Boston’s population (whose mayor, Michelle Wu, is also kowtowing to them). They are only 0.02 percent and 0.22 percent of the populations of New Hampshire and Ohio, states which are, allegedly, dealing with their own Somali pirate fraud. Part of the explanation is that, as a minority — and a very miniscule minority — the left immediately sees them as oppressed by the white, straight, Christian patriarchy that it claims controls everything. But the reason why Somalis are now the favored minority is precisely because they steal.

Intersectionality and the Left’s ‘Tolerance’

The left completely agrees with the mullahs that the United States is the Great Satan. Land acknowledgements, the 1619 deranged fairytale, the removal of American heroes from the public square, population replacement via blowing up the southern border, the promise to “fundamentally change” the country all prove that. Whoever kneecaps Satan and screws ordinary Americans becomes an intersectional hero to the left, a modern-day St. George in woke-face for their bedtime stories. The kneecappers not only prove their intersectional virtue but also their “oppression,” since if the white, Christian, patriarchal system hadn’t oppressed them, they never would have stolen $9 billion and counting from the public. They would have done the decent thing and just stolen from white people since all white people are racist.  

And by not only allowing this sort of fraud but then defending the criminals who perpetrated it, the left gets to peacock its own so-called virtue. Only the truly tolerant, only the truly multi-cultural, only the truly globalized citizen can cheer on the importation of a culture that is so asymmetrical to ours that it does not even have a concept of fraud. As long as leftists don’t actually have to live next to them, the more the better! That the fraudsters will vote for the people who turn a blind eye to fraud and help keep them in power, creating a mutant symbiosis, is just another reason for the left to simp for them.

Flanagan’s fashion statement sends out another statement: You, the ordinary American public, will be sacrificed and subjugated on the altar for our power. The left is already doing this. The billions stolen was federal money. Every single American who follows the law and pays his taxes was swindled. Flanagan, Frey, Omar, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, and all their plutocratic friends allowed us to be swindled. We are all victims.

There is also the fact that Flanagan was willing, eager to subjugate herself in what one particularly astute Twitter user correctly described as a humiliation ritual, where she put on the clothes and symbols of a faith and culture alien to her own (Flanagan is Catholic of the Joe Biden and John Kerry flavor). She told blatant lies about how innocent Somalis are and how vital they are to Minneapolis and Minnesota. Somali pirates are vital to the Democrat war machine; not America and her people.

A general and inverse rule of the Golden one is “make others do more than you are willing to do.” If Flanagan was that eager to humiliate herself in front of the whole country, what would she be willing to make the rest of us do? What is the entire left willing to make us do?

The Hijab Expresses Submission

Although some Muslim women forgo it, wearing the hijab is considered mandatory for Muslim women. Even in Muslim countries where it is no longer legally required that women wear it, it is still socially expected that women will. The hijab is a sign of submission to the teachings of Allah and to Islam. Contrary to what the left and its lapdogs say, Islam is all about conquering and dominating the “unbelieving” world. This is why the Muslim mayor of Dearborn, Abdullah Hammoud, told a Christian pastor and Dearborn resident there was no place for him in Dearborn. This is why mosques in Texas are enforcing sharia law. This is why Afghans kill National Guardsmen at Thanksgiving. By wearing it, Flanagan is screaming her submission and her willingness to sell us into submission. I don’t care about “context” or what her “intentions” were. That is what her hijab is saying.

Since the 2024 election, we have been reminded numerous times of all the reasons why the left cannot hold power again. Flanagan’s hijab and all the messages it sends are just more reasons why that is true and will remain true.
