Harris praised public pushback that led to late-night host jimmy Kimmel’s reinstatement after a suspension linked to controversial comments, highlighting the power of people using their consumer influence. She emphasized the importance of winning the midterm elections to establish checks and balances on what she views as dangerous presidential behavior.

Harris heats up anti-Trump rhetoric: ‘Unchecked, incompetent, unhinged president’

Former Vice President Kamala Harris issued a tirade against her former opponent, President Donald Trump, on Saturday night.

Harris received the Congressional Black Caucus Body Award at the CBC Foundation’s Phoenix Awards Dinner in the District of Columbia.

“With each day, we are witnessing a president who has lined his own pockets and those of the super rich while he raises tariffs on the backs of working people, cuts SNAP and Medicaid, ignores science, ends the war on cancer, and deploys the United States military to the streets of America. Let us be clear, we predicted all of that,” Harris said.

“CBC, what I did not predict was the capitulation; The universities, law firms, media corporations, the titans of industry who have been so quick to kneel before a tyrant,” Harris added.

She praised the “power of the people” in pushing back against the government intervention in late-night host Jimmy Kimmel’s suspension following comments about Charlie Kirk’s alleged killer.

“But I’ll tell you who refuses to capitulate — the people. When a president with a fragile ego couldn’t take a joke and brought down the weight of the federal government to silence the voice of a citizen, folks spoke with their pocketbooks this week, and Jimmy Kimmel is now back on the air,” Harris said.

Many Disney subscribers ended their subscriptions after the news of Kimmel’s suspension. Some on the Left have attributed Disney’s decision to bring Kimmel back on the air to consumer pressure.

Kimmel hosted his first show back on Tuesday, and since then, both Sinclair and Nexstar, large conglomerates that own local outlets, have ended their boycott of Jimmy Kimmel Live!

GAZA PROTESTERS INTERRUPT FIRST STOP OF HARRIS’S BOOK TOUR

“A time such as this demands that we win the midterms and enforce checks and balances on this unchecked, incompetent, unhinged president,” Harris said.

The former Democratic nominee for president suggested that the Democratic Party has “so many stars.” Harris recommended that her party abandon “the complex which suggests one individual can save us.” This comes as Harris herself is stoking rumors that she could run for president again in 2028 by embarking on a book tour across the country.
