GOP Senate candidate claims Hispanic voters caught off guard by Democratic policies

A Republican Senate⁢ Candidate Urges Latinos ‌to Leave the Democratic Party and Embrace Republican Values

A Republican Senate candidate in New Mexico is making a passionate plea ‍to his fellow ‌Latinos, encouraging them to break away⁣ from the Democratic Party ⁤and align⁣ themselves ⁣with the Republican cause. Ben Luna, who aims to turn the seat ⁢currently held by Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-NM) red, believes that‍ Hispanic voters have been caught off guard by leftist policies, particularly ⁣those related to LGBT issues in schools.

“The big reason is forcing trans⁢ ideologies and forcing it in schools. That is a deal-breaker ⁣for every parent, but especially for Latinos and Hispanics throughout the nation,” Luna expressed. “Once you come in, and you⁣ have almost, in ‍a sense, bridged the gap to violate the ‍conscience of our ⁣children — once‌ you do that, the only result ‍we will ever live with is that you never have access to our children ever again.”

Luna ‌is determined to focus‍ his campaign⁢ efforts ⁢on Albuquerque, a Democratic stronghold.⁣ He believes that many residents of the city are unaware of the true agenda‍ their ⁢party supports. ‍However, ‌once they become⁣ informed, Luna claims ‌that numerous ‌voters begin to distance⁢ themselves from the Democratic Party.

Despite New Mexico being traditionally viewed as ⁤a blue state, Luna argues that recent elections during the COVID-19 pandemic have shown that victory is within ‌reach for the Republican Party.

“Something very, very interesting that happened in⁢ 2022 is ‍we lost a lot of state House seats by less than 100 votes, and that was because they shut down our economy,” Luna revealed.⁣ “[Democrats] stopped everything here. We had some of the worst Draconian policies ⁣and mandates‍ being forced on New Mexicans.”

Furthermore, Luna pledges to prioritize the fundamental principles upon which the country was founded⁣ and secure ⁤the U.S.’s southern⁤ border with Mexico.

“I⁤ think‌ the biggest issue is ‌really our border … With Texas fortifying their borders⁢ and then Arizona doing their best as well, it makes us wide open, like a funnel,” Luna emphasized. “If we ⁣don’t have borders, then we’re⁣ technically not a nation. And from seeing what happened to Israel by just only a ‍thousand that‌ came across their border, a lot of people ⁢are actually bracing themselves for something to ⁣happen in New ‌Mexico ⁣and America.”

Luna is currently the sole‌ major candidate in the Republican Senate race and is expected to face‌ off against Heinrich in November. The primary will take place on June 4, 2024, with the deadline to join⁣ the race set for ⁣Feb. 6.

Why is Ben Luna ⁣focusing his efforts on ‌Albuquerque, and how does he believe this can impact the⁣ Senate race in New Mexico

Lieves that by directly engaging with Latino voters ⁃ and highlighting the values that align with Republican principles ⁣he can win their support and change the political landscape in New Mexico.⁣

One of the key issues that Luna is targeting is ‌the Democratic Party’s stance on LGBT issues in schools. Luna firmly believes that this is an area where the Party has overstepped, and that it‌ is a deal-breaker for many Latino parents. He argues that by promoting and normalizing transgender ideologies in schools, the Democratic Party is ‌violating the conscience of Latino children, and that this is something that should not be tolerated.

While discussing his campaign strategy, Luna emphasizes the‍ importance of directly engaging with Latino voters. He is ‌determined to reach out to Hispanic communities and explain how Republican values‍ align with their own core⁢ beliefs and aspirations. Luna believes that many Latino voters‌ have been‌ blindly supporting the Democratic Party without fully understanding the policies and principles⁣ that are ⁣being advocated for. He hopes that by highlighting the impact that these policies have on Latino families, ⁣he can⁤ persuade them to consider an alternative political path.

Furthermore, Luna is focusing his efforts on Albuquerque, a city that has traditionally been a Democratic stronghold. He believes that by targeting this specific area, he can make a significant impact and potentially flip the Senate seat, which is currently held by a Democrat. By rallying support from⁣ the Latino community in⁢ Albuquerque, ⁤Luna aims to demonstrate the power and influence that this demographic holds, and hopes to encourage other Latinos across the country to consider embracing Republican values.

It is worth noting that Luna’s appeal to Latinos to leave the Democratic Party and embrace Republican values is not an isolated phenomenon. In recent years, there has been a growing trend of Latino voters shifting their political allegiances. According to a ‍Pew Research Center report, the share of Latino voters who identify ⁣as Republican or lean towards the Republican Party has increased from 27% in 2012 to 28% in 2016. While this may seem like a small shift, it indicates a changing ⁢political landscape and highlights the potential for Latinos to play a significant role in shaping the future⁤ of American politics.

As the race‍ for the Senate seat in New Mexico heats up, the appeal made by Ben Luna to Latinos‍ not only‌ reflects his determination to win ‌the election, but also‍ highlights the growing importance of the Latino vote in American politics. Luna’s plea for ⁤his fellow Latinos to leave the Democratic Party and embrace ⁤Republican values serves as a reminder that political allegiances are not set in stone, and that voters should carefully consider their options‍ and choose‌ a path that‍ aligns with their own core beliefs‌ and values.

While it remains to be seen whether Luna’s efforts will be successful, his ‍campaign brings attention to the need for both political parties to engage with and address the‍ concerns of Latino voters. The Latino community⁤ is not a monolithic ⁢voting bloc, and their support cannot be taken for granted. If Republicans and Democrats want to appeal ⁤to Latino voters, it is crucial that they understand and address their specific⁤ needs and concerns. Only by doing so can they hope to earn the support and ‍trust of this increasingly influential demographic.
