“I am incredibly proud of my wife Dina and all that she has accomplished. She’s incredible!” McCormick wrote.
Trump senior adviser Jason Miller expressed his surprise at the hire: “Never thought I’d see a Trump ally made President of Meta!”
Meta notably banned Trump from Facebook and Instagram following the Capitol riots on Jan. 6, 2021. This suspension ended in January 2023. Trump’s son, Donald Trump Jr., also noted the change in Meta by hiring Powell McCormick.
“Smart hire,” Trump Jr. wrote on X Monday. “Dina is great and it’s nice to have someone over there who is conservative and believes in free speech instead of censorship!!!!”

Dina is smart, tough, and thoughtful,” he wrote on X Monday.
The Pennsylvania Republican Party also congratulated Powell McCormick for the “well-deserved” job.
“With decades of experience in global finance and strategy, Meta made a great choice to drive their companies growth, impact and innovation forward,” PA GOP wrote on X Monday.
