Gavin Rossdale expresses regret over divorce from Gwen Stefani, feeling sorry for his children
Gavin Rossdale Opens Up About Divorce from Gwen Stefani
Gavin Rossdale, the frontman of Bush, is delving into his feelings about his divorce from fellow musician Gwen Stefani. In a recent episode of the podcast “Amy and T.J,” he expressed his deep concern for how the situation has impacted their children.
Rossdale’s Reflections
At 58 years old, Rossdale shared, “My parents were both married three times each — so a very colorful background. And so I never thought I’d ever get divorced. So if there’s a simple shame in my life, it’s that.”
Despite his regrets about the past, Rossdale believes in the notion that there are “no accidents” in life. He emphasized, “Life just unfolds how it should. And whether that’s comfortable or uncomfortable, it just is what it is. It’s an easier philosophy to live by ‘cause it means you don’t sit in regret.”
Rossdale and Stefani tied the knot in 2002, but their marriage came to an end in 2015 when Stefani filed for divorce due to irreconcilable differences. The couple shares three children: Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo.
Concern for the Children
Reflecting on his children, Rossdale expressed, “It’d be nice if there was sort of more connection with the person who made them with me. So, I feel bad for my kids, that’s it. That’s the overriding thing.”
Delving into his own childhood experiences, Rossdale shared how growing up in a broken home influenced him. He connected that to his career but acknowledged the challenges it can pose for kids.
While referencing Stefani’s current relationship with Blake Shelton, Rossdale spoke about his consistency as a father and refrained from making negative comments about their mother.
In conclusion, Rossdale’s transparent reflections shed light on the complexities of divorce, parenting, and personal growth in the face of life’s challenges.
