Former UFC Star Releases Statement After Allegedly Attempting to Kill Man Accused of Molesting Family Member

Cain Velasquez has broken his silence after his recent arrest.

The former UFC star was charged with felony attempted murder in California after he allegedly shot at Harry Goularte back in May, according to TMZ. Goularte is accused of molesting one of Velasquez close relatives. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

Now, the former star fighter has broken his silence.

“From the bottom of our hearts and the depths of our souls, we are forever grateful for your love. Your selfless gestures and kind words have given me strength in my darkest times. This story is complex and slowly unraveling as we speak,” Velasquez wrote in part.

You can read his full statement below.

This entire situation is nothing short of absolutely tragic, and it’s clear from Velasquez’s statement that it’s weighing heavily on his soul.

He allegedly tried to kill Goularte after the man allegedly molested one of his family members. No matter how you look at this story, it’s absolutely awful.

It is also worth noting that Goularte was arrested and charged with allegedly molesting a child just days before the alleged attack by the former UFC star.

If Goularte is guilty of molesting Velasquez’s family member, I think it’s safe to say a lot of people will understand why he did what he’s being accused of.

A lot of people would get violent if their family member was molested.

Let’s hope the authorities can get to the bottom of what happened and deal with it appropriately. Again, it’s an absolutely tragic situation no matter how you slice it.
