Ex-Federal Prosecutor appalled by Hunter Biden lawyer: ‘Obstruction of justice, a federal crime!’
Former Federal Prosecutor ‘Disgusted’ by Hunter Biden Lawyer: ‘That’s Obstruction of Justice, That’s a Federal Offense!’
Former federal prosecutor Kash Patel is absolutely appalled by the conduct of the Justice Department in the Hunter Biden case. He firmly believes that Hunter Biden’s attorney obstructed justice, and he’s not afraid to speak out about it.
Patel’s strong reaction came after reading a recent Politico article that revealed a letter written by Hunter Biden’s former attorney, Chris Clark. In the letter, Clark threatened to put President Joe Biden on the stand as a fact witness in the case against his son, which involved alleged tax evasion and illegal gun possession crimes.
“This is outrageous,” Patel exclaimed. “Having a sitting president testify at a criminal trial would be a spectacle and could potentially lead to a Constitutional crisis.”
Last month, Clark thought he had successfully negotiated a plea deal for Hunter Biden. The deal involved pleading guilty to two misdemeanor tax charges and dropping the gun possession charge if Hunter stayed drug-free for two years. Additionally, the deal would have granted Hunter immunity from future prosecution related to his overseas business dealings.
However, the plea deal fell apart in court when the judge questioned its details. Hunter then pleaded not guilty to all charges, leaving the case in limbo.

When asked about his thoughts on the conduct of his former employer, Patel didn’t hold back. “As a former national security prosecutor of the DOJ, I am not just offended. I am absolutely disgusted by the two-tiered system of justice that exists,” he declared.
Patel went on to explain that if he were a public defender and tried to obstruct justice by threatening a constitutional crisis, he would face serious consequences. He emphasized that leveraging the power of the commander in chief’s seat, as Hunter Biden’s attorney did, is completely unacceptable.
Patel also pointed out that the timing of the leaked documents is not a coincidence. He believes that Hunter Biden’s attorney leaked them to make the DOJ look bad.
Furthermore, Patel argued that it would be detrimental for President Biden to take the witness stand for Hunter. The defense would turn into a circus, and the potential for Joe Biden to commit perjury would be catastrophic.
According to Patel, the only way to challenge the DOJ and the FBI is to expose their actions publicly. He commended Chris Clark for doing just that.
When asked if he had ever encountered a defendant’s attorney threatening him like Clark did, Patel responded, “No, because even the worst defendants wouldn’t dare make such threats. But when the president of the United States is involved, it’s a whole different story.”
Patel concluded by expressing his doubts about salvaging a plea deal from this situation. He believes that Hunter Biden will have to go to trial, but he predicts that it will be delayed until after the next election cycle.
He also criticized the DOJ’s push to have all of Donald Trump’s trials completed before the 2024 election, calling it a politically motivated prosecution that will ultimately fail.
As Thomas Jefferson once said, “God’s justice cannot sleep forever.” It seems that Patel is determined to ensure that justice prevails in this case.
