Kentucky recipients to receive SNAP payment of $1,691 in a week.
Kentucky Residents Can Collect Up to $1,691 in Food Stamps
Attention Kentucky residents! If you receive payments from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), you have the opportunity to collect up to $1,691 in food stamps over the next seven days. But hurry, because the program wraps up for August soon!
Payments for SNAP benefits are sent out in the Bluegrass State from August 1 to August 19. Eligible households can expect to receive their benefits on the same day each month, with the exact date varying based on the last digit of their case numbers.
Maximum Payment Amounts
- Household of one: $281
- Household of four: $939
- Household of eight: $1,691
For households with more than eight members, an additional $211 is added to their food stamps for each member.
Did you know that around 541,600 residents in Kentucky, which is about 12% of the state’s population, receive food stamps? The average payment per household member per month is $192.
SNAP benefits are loaded onto an electronic benefit card each month, which can be used at participating locations such as grocery stores and farmers markets. Remember, these payments should be used for purchasing groceries and fresh produce.
However, please note that food stamps cannot be used to purchase alcohol, tobacco products, vitamins, live animals, prepared foods, or nonfood household items.
