Every month, Louisiana residents receive their direct SNAP payments, also known as food stamps, from the 1st to the 23rd, as confirmed by the state’s Department of Children and Family Services.
Impressive SNAP Statistics
Did you know that approximately 822,600 Louisiana residents, which is about one-sixth of the state’s population, benefited from food stamps in fiscal 2022? That’s a significant number! But wait, there’s more. Nationally, over 41,200,000 people, or about one-eighth of the population, receive SNAP benefits.
