Alabama Residents Set to Receive SNAP Benefits for September

In just three days, ‍Alabama residents who rely ‍on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) for⁣ financial support ⁤to purchase groceries will‌ receive their‍ benefits for the⁢ month of September. Payment Schedule Based on Case Number

Recipients can expect ‍to receive their benefits based on the last two digits of their case number. For instance, if a ‍recipient’s case number ends in 00-04, their benefits will be available⁤ on the fourth ‍of the month. Those with case⁣ numbers ending in 05-09 will receive their payments on ‌the fifth of the month. The final⁣ payments are scheduled for the 23rd of ‌the month, when⁢ individuals with case numbers ending ⁤in 95-99 will receive ⁤their benefits.

Amount of Benefits

The amount of benefits‌ a recipient receives is determined⁣ by ‌their income and household size. On average, each household member in Alabama receives $183 per month. For a one-person household, the maximum⁤ benefit is $281, while a household of five could receive a maximum monthly⁤ benefit of $1,116. Using SNAP Benefits

SNAP benefit recipients will be able to utilize their benefits through a prepaid electronic benefit transfer (EBT) card.
