Flash mob accuses Target employee of racism for reporting their dancing in the store, but social media backlash ensues.
A Flash Mob Takes Over Target Store
In an unexpected turn of events, a flash mob decided to bring their dance moves to the aisles of a Target store. As they grooved to the music, an employee raised concerns about safety violations, sparking a heated exchange.
Defying the Odds
Undeterred by the employee’s objections, one of the dancers boldly declared, “If we all start dancing and multiple people record, they can’t stop us all!” Their determination to make a statement was unwavering.
Taking to social media, one of the dancers posted, “This racist employee called the police on us for dancing in Target. So we danced anyway.” The incident quickly gained attention and sparked a debate about the boundaries of expression.

Sharing her experience on YouTube, the person who posted the video boasted, “I was so excited for us to film a quick flash mob at Target. But before we even walked through the door, this employee called the police on us for being on the property.” Despite the obstacles, they made the most of the situation, uniting a diverse group of dancers.
Reflecting on the moment, she wrote, “This was an indescribable experience for me. Seeing all the beautiful brown faces come together in solidarity was everything I stand for.” The flash mob had inadvertently become a symbol of unity and empowerment.
However, not everyone was supportive. Social media users criticized the dancers with comments like:
“Target isn’t your private dance studio.”
“Calling this racist dismisses legitimate racist moments. You didn’t have permission to dance in the Target and upset they didn’t let you do what you want.”
“What does race have anything to do with this? You guys were disrupting the entire store. Why didn’t you ask him if you could coordinate times? It’s just common courtesy.”
“This is sad and pathetic.”
“You know you’re wrong when accounts whose main purpose on this app is to support and uplift black women aren’t on your side.”
“Can we come to your house and do whatever we want?”
“When you don’t have racism, you have to make up racism anywhere you can.”
