Fla. to expand COVID-19 vaccine eligibility to all adults

Florida is set to expand COVID-19 vaccine eligibility to all adults. Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) announced the decision on Thursday.

According to the governor, the state’s Senior First Vaccine Strategy has been paying off and they are ready to take the next step. DeSantis said the number of cases in Florida has plummeted among seniors and he wants to keep that momentum going by expanding vaccine eligibility.

The governor also encouraged residents to per-register for vaccinations said they will be contacted once the doses are available in their area.

The vaccines will be available at various locations in the state, including Wal-Mart, Sam’s Club, Walgreens sand Publix pharmacies.
