Police have been searching for a suspect after a house fire in Houston, Texas led first responders to find four people dead from apparent gunshot wounds. The fire erupted Sunday morning and firefighters discovered the bodies of two adults and two children inside the home once the blaze was extinguished.
According to police, there were no signs of forced entry and investigators believed the incident was possibly related to domestic violence. The adult victims were in their fifties, while the children were between the ages of 10 and 13-years-old.
“That’s normal what some suspects do. They try to destroy evidence and what not by setting a fire, but I don’t think it worked to their benefit right now,” expressed Chief Troy Finner of Houston Police Department. “…I’m angry when anybody loses their life in our city, in our city to violence, but especially angry when it’s small kids. They hadn’t even lived their lives.”
