SSI payments are typically issued on the first day of a month. However, February’s payment will be issued on Jan. 30. When the first of a month falls on a weekend or holiday, SSI payments are issued on the last business day of the previous month. This year, Feb. 1 falls on a Sunday.
Beneficiaries are people with limited income who are either blind, aged 65 and older, or have a qualifying disability.
